Palm Harbor is a hotbed of outdoor recreation, thanks to a scenic perch on the Gulf of Mexico and year-round warm weather. The beachside community encompasses golf courses, mineral hot springs, and lots of pristine white-sand beaches. Some of the best beaches can be found right across the causeway at Honeymoon Island State Park. Head here to swim and snorkel in warm, clear waters or hike through slash-pine forests to bird-observation areas, where you might spot osprey nests. From here, you can catch a ferry to the unspoiled Caladesi Island State Park. There are no high-rise hotels or busy roads here, only miles of uncrowded beachfront.
