A Wonderful Stay Made Even Better by Davon! We had such a delightful stay at Hotel Theta, and Davon made it even more special! He checked us in early with a warm smile and was absolutely lovely. The hotel was sparkling clean, with a beautifully cared-for ambiance and a charming bathroom. The friendly atmosphere made us feel right at home. Highly recommend this gem!

Good stay in a great location Per a review on this site, I first stayed here in November 2023 and had a subpar stay. The hotel manager responded and we ultimately spoke by phone because he wanted to hear about my concerns, and he promised to make things right next time I stay. And they did! There is so little customer service anymore, let alone someone reaching out to listen to concerns and then following up on their promise to make it right. I had an overall good stay this time around. The property is well located on the edge of Hell’s Kitchen but close enough to walk to all your theater plans in Times Square or Restaurant Row. Staff were friendly and helpful. If you are a drinker, they host a free and lovely happy hour.

Good, Not Great After reading the many outstanding reviews, I had high expectations, but, unfortunately, the Kimpton Theta didn’t live up to them. The hotel was fine, but nothing exceptional, especially in comparison to other Kimptons that we have enjoyed in the past. The location is good and the staff was friendly. We were pleasantly surprised to get a room when we checked in about 1 p.m. It was nice to be able to get situated before heading out. The beds were fine and rooms were clean. We booked a high, premium floor but were put in the back because it would be “quieter.” We returned one day to a clogged sink and couldn’t use it until it was fixed the next day. We certainly weren’t in the room a lot due to exploring the city and the room was perfectly adequate, but there was nothing about it that stood out for me.

Great location for Broadway trips. We stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn previously at this location very often before it closed. When we heard the spot was becoming a Kimpton, we were thrilled. The location for NYC Broadway trips is wonderful! The Hotel Theta Kimpton has some great things going for it: location, comfortable beds, complimentary coffee in the lobby in the morning and wine in the evening. The mini fridge in each room is also very convenient. Robes and an umbrella in each room are great touches. The hotel is really clean with very good daily housekeeping that’s consistent and thorough. The front desk staff are also professional and polite. Only a few negatives: extremely heavy room doors. Difficult to open. The showers are great, but the bathrooms themselves are small. The hotel should consider adding coffee makers and coffee/tea supplies to the rooms too. All in all, we will definitely return because the location is great.

Awesome Hotel Awesome and pet friendly - will be back for sure! My dogs loved it and the front desk staff was some of the best. Great service. Thank you so much to everyone. I will be sure to make it back here when the rooftop restaurant opens up later this year!
