Carlsbad, California: Coastal Town North of San Diego

Carlsbad’s swath of golden coastline, nestled between San Diego and LA, is often called the Riviera of the West. It connects several of SoCal’s most well-known beach towns, including La Jolla and Coronado. The city was founded when an artesian well was discovered there in the 1880s, and the locals christened it after Karlsbad, a health-spa village in Bohemian Europe. The discovery of the mineral spring—coupled with the arrival of the Arizona Eastern Railway—helped promote Carlsbad as a tourist destination. It retains a small-town feel, though; its downtown is lined with boutiques, antique stores, and restaurants.

Unspoiled natural beauty is part of what draws people to Carlsbad. Carlsbad State Beach stretches for 4 miles along the Pacific Ocean; here, visitors can swim, surf, or stroll beside the nearby rocky bluffs. The city is also renowned as a premier growing region for poinsettias and ranunculus. Each year, The Flower Fields at Carlsbad Ranch herald the arrival of spring as 50 acres of ranunculus fields blossom into a spectacular burst of color.

This was the best vacation starting with this hotel deal. The hotel was nice and clean. The staff was so helpful. I really appreciate the staff and how they catered to ensure that our son had a good experience. The room for the price was a worth it. This is a deal that I will repurchase if it becomes available again.

my grandkids loved it My daughter and I brought the grandkids to Legoland and the hotel. We had the most amazing time! the lobby of the castle is very nice, it really looks like a castle, it is very well decorated, my grandchildren liked it very much. Was surprised that the food was as good as it was! But even more importantly the staff, an exceptional young man named Jorge Ignacio was so wonderful with the kids and helpful with our family! We will be back again soon.

Terrible Valet took forever. No one told me (bc there’s zero customer service) that I had to put my key into a slot for the lights to work. So the room is pitch black upon entry and my backpack caught the top of a Lego dragon sitting on a safe in the entry, knocked it over and gashed my leg in two places. Called service wizard number in app but the number couldn’t be completed as dialed. Googled hotel number - she said service number is on the back of the key card (the one she said has to be in the slot at the front door for the lights to work). So when you take it out to find to find said service number the place goes dark. No towels at pool. Mirror in bathroom is broken. Our room was by the elevator and they don’t turn off the loud voice recordings at night so you hear it all night long. It sounds like a herd of elephants above me right now at 11:15 pm. Lumpy pillows. I’m tired of writing. Everything is awful. And my leg still hurts. And it’s too loud to sleep. But it’s a good thing because my husband just arrived from a wedding and there’s no one downstairs to give him a key like they said there would be.

Lego-Inspired Wonderland: The Legoland Castle Hotel is not just a place to rest your head; it's a vibrant, Lego-infused wonderland that transports you to a realm of endless imagination. The lobby, adorned with towering Lego masterpieces, immediately sets the stage for an unforgettable stay. Each room is a masterpiece in itself, meticulously designed with Lego-themed décor that brought out the childlike wonder in even the most discerning adult. The attention to detail was as impeccable as a perfectly placed Lego block - truly a testament to the creativity behind this family-friendly haven. I would also like to recognize the work of a gentleman that we met in this castle, his name is Jorge de Lobby, and we thank him for his attention and good service, special recognition. In conclusion, my stay at the Legoland Castle Hotel was a testament to the enduring magic of Lego. The combination of a Lego-inspired family-friendly resort, unbeatable proximity to Legoland Amusement Park, and a plethora of family activities makes this a destination fit for any elite adventurer seeking a whimsical retreat.
