Niagara Falls, Ontario: Panoramic Views of the Falls near Vegas-Style Casinos and Water Parks

At Niagara Falls, water thunders downward from a height of nearly 200 feet, crashing onto craggy boulders below. The falls straddle the border between Canada and the United States, but the Canadian side of the Niagara River is universally hailed as the finest vantage point to take in all three of Niagara Falls’ photogenic brinks: American, Bridal Veil, and Horseshoe Falls.

Hornblower cruises ferry raincoat-clad passengers around the base of the falls from April to October, depending on the river’s ice conditions. Year-round, Journey Behind the Falls grants a glimpse behind the curtain of Horseshoe Falls—visitors board an elevator that descends 150 feet into the bedrock, then stand at an observation deck steps from the cascading water. A 10-minute walk from the falls is the neon-lit Clifton Hill neighborhood. Its Fallsview Boulevard has plenty of Vegas-style kitsch, including glitzy casinos and indoor water parks.

Rooms are quite pricey, so I really expected better We were here several days for an event. The good - Room was comfy. Food served during the event was better than expected. The bad - In checking, we arrived at 4PM and our room was not ready. There were a lot of people waiting for a room, we waited for over an hour till I finally got back in line to see what was going on. I found out later some rcvd discounts for the inconvenience, that was not offered to us. We had to have a broken chair in the room replaced, and also a faucet fixed. Both should have been obvious to housekeeping. The elevator situation is deplorable. Waiting 45 min for an elevator is unacceptable. The only time there was not a wait was when we returned after dinner at 11PM. Rooms are quite pricey, so I really expected better.

Best view of the Horseshoe Falls! Absolutely incredible view of the Horseshoe Falls at Niagara. Make sure to request Falls view when booking! There's nothing like watching the sun rise and watching gushing water evaporate. Perfect for all families with young kids learning about the water cycle. Milestone's has a great buffet breakfast overlooking the Falls, which is a great way to start your day. The gym facility is very good.

Spectacular Views My husband stayed here for his 50th birthday trip, the hotel did not disappoint with spectacular falls views, as well as being clean and comfortable. We had room 1425; it was such a beautiful view during the day and night. Conveniently located across the street from the hotel was the Wego transportation stop, which takes you right to all the must see and do spots. The passes came complimentary from the hotel, good for 48 hours which worked perfectly for us. If you’re looking for a great hotel, with unmatched views of both the horseshoe and NY side of the falls, this is the place to be, you won’t be disappointed; sitting in front of the hotel window at night to watch the light show and the fireworks was the best ending to the day. Definitely will stay here again.
