No cancellations for extreme weather I’ve stayed at the Moxy downtown Omaha several times due to its proximity to the Old Market Neighborhood. The rooms are efficiency standard and the staff has always been acceptable if not a bit distracted by their own lives and personal discussions. Upon a most recent reservation that I needed to cancel due to severe weather and a client meeting being adjusted to virtual. (Other colleagues chose to stay at other Marriotts nearby -courtyard and residence Inn both of which accommodated an early morning same day cancellation without a full night fee) the Moxy would not budge, said their policy even for extreme weather was to charge their one night cancellation fee. Well I would not recommend staying at this location. As I will not any longer and while I may not travel too often; l have been booking 3-5 nights per quarter. My business moving forward wil be at a different establishment. While I’ll miss the ‘free’ m&m’s and pretzels in the lobby. I won’t miss the fact that there is never a manager on duty and the lack of service when a flight and trip was cancelled but the hotel chose to charge for a night not used

Best stay ever Adam was very professional and friendly. His speed and attention to detail were impressive. He treated my car like his own. Best experience I've had in a long time. I would recommend the Moxie anytime to friends and business associates. Great place, great service!

Gross Dorm Room Jail Cell Experience This hotel is the worst. DO NOT STAY HERE! It was a combination of a jail cell and a sparse dorm room. Seriously, the bathroom had a rolly cart with towels, like you would use in the dorm. The shower floor and the bathroom floor were all the same. So when you took a shower, the whole bathroom got wet. If I wanted to sleep on the fouton 6 inches off the floor, I would have checked into a hostel. The pillow was about 1 inch thick. There wasn't a closet. I had to hang my clothes on the wall where the hooks were 3 feet off the ground. The staff is very unhelpful. I had to wait at least 15 minutes outside the hotel because the door was locked. I didn't have a key because I hadn't checked in. Rang the buzzer, no answer. Valet desk and check in desk ( I could see it from the door) were both empty. I will never recommend this hotel. Oh, and I also know that the person that stayed in my room before me had a salt and pepper beard. I know this, because his whiskers were still on the counter top in the bathroom. I did go back to the front desk to get a new room. And, I was told they were totally booked fir the night. I was supposed to stay 2 nights, but I checked out early and found another place to stay.

Not a good room for business travelers The hotel room is more like a dorm than a hotel. There is no closet where to store your clothes. They have hooks to hang clothes off of, but it just leaves a clutter look to the area. The air conditioner vent is pointed at the bed so you wake up with a sore throat. A positive thing about the hotel is the staff is very nice and helpful. If I have to return to Omaha, I will not rebook this dorm room.

Great First Moxy Experience During a five-night business trip, I decided to shake things up and give the Moxy a try, even though I'm usually a Hilton loyalist. Stepping into the Moxy's lobby/bar area on the ground floor was a breath of fresh air. I feel like Marriott has really cracked the code for mixing work and play seamlessly, creating a very unique hotel concept. My room, a just standard one, was clean, and the bathroom setup was surprisingly clever for its size. Loved the glass shower, but the water pressure was really, really bad - basically a trickle. The kicker with this hotel is the location. Right in the heart of downtown Omaha, it's hard to beat. If you are looking for a place that's central and different, the Moxy is a great pick. As a brand/concept, it is not going to be everyone's cup of tea, but for those who travel lite and enjoy a hip vibe, this spot is a winner.
