Reno, Nevada: Casino City with Arts and Outdoor Adventure

Reno lives up to its billing as “The Biggest Little City in the World" thanks to its flashy casinos, cultural centers, and restaurants worthy of a much larger metropolis, all packed together on Virginia Street. If you need a break from courting Lady Luck at the big gaming palaces such as Circus Circus and Harrah's (which was born here), head to the Truckee River Arts District to explore the Nevada Museum of Art and the National Automobile Museum. Because of its location at the foot of the Sierra Nevada and just east of Tahoe National Forest, the city also puts visitors within reach of rushing rivers and high mountain ranges for hiking, rafting, and gold-rush reenacting.

4.8… We enjoyed our room, it was overall, what we expected. The pool experience was a lot of fun (family friendly). We ate at Rosie’s and the Island grill and enjoyed the meals we had, would definitely recommend. The downfalls were, we never received the resort credit included with this package . It was unclear how to use it, and the slots were freezing cold lol. Overall a great time!

When my flight was canceled, they let me check in my room and gave me an extended checkout time as a courtesy.

Old John would be disgusted with his establishment, No Class Surprisingly they have started cleaning up there act. Since the last time I was there in 2024 they have cleaned the blood and brains off elevator 1 in the west tower, that was nice of them. The smoke alarms that went off at three in the morning and management left us standing outside in the middle of the night while the homeless from the train tracks lurked around to rob us, mind you we were they for a kids event. The mini pro bull riding series. The elevator stalled out twice and I was lock on it for quite some time. The only perk was World Champion Bull Rider Cody Custer was on it with me. So yes I have a witness to that experience. I waited for 45 mins for my luggage to be pushed 15 ft to my car, and when I went for help they guy was picking his nose and their wasn’t a single person in line in front of me. When I got my bags I questioned if someone hadn’t rifled through them. Their slots are so tight you couldn’t get a win if you had the chance be of the rainbow in your back pocket. The phones didn’t work. I was told to have my kids call from there room as proof to get an extra key….. phones don’t work. There’s no WiFi The pool staff must be tired of working because they didn’t want to give the kids towels and they had to leave the pool soaking wet. Everyone expects a tip but their service is complete sh**! What in the Wild West is going on! This establishment supports drugs thugs and cheap hookers. Terrible But I will say this. It has improved a bit

Simple free play period starts from 8am til midnight. So difficult to inquiry information on your free play with the representative Arlene who doesn’t listen to the question(s). I advised her that I was here last week around midnight and I was scheduled to have free play til Th and start again Fri. If there is a cut off or time period ? She states she couldn’t check last week. She said she can only check this week. So I rephrased and asked so I have free play til what time on the 6th ? Midnight . Ok, when does my next free play start on the 7th ? 8am. Shaking my head.

Comfortable place to stay with year round pool and hot tub! The beds were comfortable and the room was clean. The bell hop and valet service are wonderful! It's worth $10 a day valet service because of how far away the parking garage is. We loved the indoor pool and hot tub. There is towel service at the pool and plenty of lounge chairs. The amenities were clean and well maintained. There is no guest laundry available. Restaurants in the casino are a bit pricey for the average person.
