Four-Star Pop-Modern Hotel in Times Square

The chic Paramount Hotel was built in 1928 and then transformed by Ian Schrager, cofounder of Studio 54. Today, the hotel building still has its ornate, old–New York façade, but much of the interior has been recently updated. A modern fireplace with a DJ booth above it serves as the focal point of the sprawling, lounge-like lobby. Its popularity as a hangout for stars such as Liza Minnelli and Daniel Radcliffe is no coincidence: located directly in Times Square, it’s just steps away from all of the Broadway theaters.

The modern aesthetic also extends to the Paramount Bar & Grill, just around the corner from the lobby. The restaurant has a sleek, modern feel and serves continental cuisine and innovative cocktails.
