The Las Vegas Strip: 24/7 Entertainment and Fine Dining

With an almost unlimited variety of casinos, bars, and live entertainment, the consensus along the Las Vegas Strip seems to be “go big or go home.” And you can go big here. Make a beeline for the dozens of 24-hour casinos lining the neon-lit Strip to tango with Lady Luck in high-stakes roulette, blackjack, and poker games. Be sure to stick around for mealtimes—casinos on the Strip are known for their fine-dining restaurants.

Even Sin City isn’t all casinos, all the time. Go shopping at the high-end boutiques in most Las Vegas Strip hotels. Head to LINQ Promenade for a shopping and dining experience, then ride atop the High Roller observation wheel. Thanks to the strip’s re-creation of the Eiffel Tower at Paris Las Vegas and the Roman Empire at Caesars Palace, you can virtually travel the globe in just a few city blocks.

Had a nice time but not perfect We recently stayed at Planet Hollywood and overall had a nice time — I’d give it 3 stars. The location is fantastic, with easy access to the Strip, shops, and good shows onsite. The pools were nice too, though the family pool was shaded over half the day, which was a bit disappointing. Housekeeping was definitely below expectations — floors were dirty, fixtures were broken, and when housekeeping did come, they barely cleaned. One bed was made, towels were replaced, but that was about it. Honestly not sure what the resort fee covered. Pool seating was another frustration: no chairs available unless you paid for a daybed, and even then, pricing was inconsistent. Service at the pool was hit or miss — one day we were charged $20 for a virgin margarita, another day $9. Some days we got water and towels, other days nothing at all. Lastly, prepare for some price gouging — even at the onsite Starbucks, a tall latte was $11. Overall, we had a good time because of the location and entertainment, but the hotel itself fell short in service and cleanliness for the price.

Weekend from hell We have been to Las Vegas many times and thought we would try some place different. From the time we checked in to our first visit to the pool, we knew we made a mistake. The place has rude staff and they are always looking to up charge you for everything!!! This turned out to be a very low end hotel and with so many other choices don’t waste your time!!

Vegas - It's Expensive The resort and rooms are clean and housekeeping provides good service. The rooms do not have a coffee maker like most resorts, you have to go down to the lobby just to get a coffee which is brutally expensive, $18.57 CAN for a Venti at Starbucks. Everything in the resort is expensive, Gordon Ramsay was $196.91 CAN for 1 appetizer shared and 2 burger meals with fries. Cheaper food options can be found just down the street, for example In and Out, great burgers, 2 meals $41.43 CAN. Sonic which is not far, $49.67 for 2 meals and dessert. The resort provides great transportation service through taxis. The staff in the casino are not friendly at all but I did not spend much time there after I won a jackpot of 1,300.00 as I was quite annoyed that they keep 30% of any winnings because I am Canadian. The shows are expensive too but definitely great shows! Great talent in Vegas! The helicopter and Eiffel Tower are great attractions and most reasonably price. Great views of Vegas at night, got some stunning videos and pictures.
