Hotel at a Glance: Plaza Hotel & Casino

Located in the heart of downtown Las Vegas, the Plaza Hotel & Casino has nearly 1,000 comfortable rooms with stunning views, while its casino offers a thrilling gaming experience with a wide selection of slots and table games as well as downtown's only bingo hall and smoke-free gaming area. The Plaza's rooftop pool and recreation deck offer a relaxing retreat and outdoor amenities including private cabanas, hot tub, and Pickleball courts. Guests enjoy various dining options led by the renowned Oscar's Steakhouse in the iconic glass dome, expansive lounge, and adjacent rooftop patio.

The Plaza's glittering porte-cochere-the backdrop for many movies and television shows over the decades - is home to Carousel Bar that serves cocktails in life-sized Vegas-themed carousel setting. Combing history and a vintage Rat Pack attitude with modern styling and personal customer service, the Plaza offers guests the ultimate Vegas experience.

  • Chill out at the Pool at the Plaza, which boasts amenities ranging from rentable cabanas and lily pad day beds to a 12-person hot tub and onsite food truck.
  • Try your luck at the casino, where games include slots, table games, and the only bingo room in the neighborhood. There's also an off-track betting and sportsbook for placing wagers.
  • Eat and drink at thirteen restaurants and bars, including an upscale steakhouse, swanky cocktail bar, and food court with fast favorites.
  • That's entertainment: The hotel welcomes live shows, including performers, entertainers, and bands. If you seek more adrenaline-pumping experience, opt for seasonal events such as Demolition Derby. (Temporarily reduced capacity)
  • Enhanced cleaning: All staff has been educated in proper social distancing protocols and cleaning techniques to prevent the spread of viruses; Over 25 hand sanitizing stations have been added to our casino and convention floor to ensure a safe and clean experience.

Beyond the Las Vegas Strip: Old Vegas and Red Rock Canyon

It can feel like the entire city of Las Vegas revolves around the Strip if you never venture beyond that neon-lit corridor. But there’s plenty to see and do once you step off Las Vegas Boulevard. You can find a taste of Old Vegas on Fremont Street, where vintage signs and showgirls crowned with headdresses recall the days of Sinatra and Martin. Beginning at dusk, a canopy of more than 12 million LED lights erupts in a psychedelic light-and-music show every hour. For an aerial view, zoom down the center of Fremont Street on a zipline.

Nature puts on its own show at Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area, a landscape of fiery-red sandstone formations and limestone cliffs just 17 miles outside the city. Motor down the 13-mile scenic drive or ditch the car and strike out on any of more than 20 hiking trails that course through the region’s otherworldly topography.

Perfect location close to Fremont Street. Totally enjoyed it. Super quiet, clean, cute room. Perfect location, we walked Fremont street and ate at an amazing restaurant, explored older Vegas for that one night. The pool and pickleball options were great, though the pool closed a little earlier than we would prefer.

On a scale from 1-10 I rate the stay a 2 i can be reached at 210-316-3933 just out of you know. I'm so sorry we had a bad experience. I called and told them the A/C was not cooling. They sent a tech and checked it but didn't do anything about it. Set it all the way to 60 degree and still kept turning off and on. Housekeepers were rudd I asked for wash towels and hey said they didn't have any. There werent any comforters on the bed just sheets. The rooms were outdated. They were not to our standards. Even though we don't expect much. The stay was uncomfortable and unpleasant. The waitress we had in the casino was great. We spent quite a bit. We are loyal to places we stay at. Where we stay we utilize the casino. I hope that someone gets a hold of this and corrects all matters accordingly

So much fun! We stayed at the Plaza when we were in town getting married. We loved the fun and friendly atmosphere! The front desk was friendly and helped us get a super comfortable room for our stay. The food was great and we loved quick access to the Freemont Street Experience!
