Sedona, Arizona: Majestic Rock Formations and Quirky Arts Community

Surrounded by a band of red sandstone formations, Sedona boasts a breathtaking natural skyline. Head to the 3.2-mile Airport Loop hiking trail for views of famous outcroppings such as Cathedral Rock and Courthouse Butte. About 10 minutes outside of the city at Slide Rock State Park, you can barrel down a natural water slide and see a preserved turn-of-the-century homestead.

Since around the 1960s, artists have been drawn to Sedona's majestic landscape and cubist street signs. Although the arts scene has dwindled a bit in recent years, the city's creative spirit is still very much alive at Gallery Row, where more than 50 art shops and boutiques sell pottery, jewelry, and metalwork.

Getaway to Sedona Road trip! Drove up to Sedona from Mesa. Did not have reservations. Found this hidden gem! Price for night was fantastic, room was slightly dated decor but all very clean, comfy and the gas fireplace gave it a romantic touch. Staff fabulous!

Don't waste your money. Terribly disappointing. Don't waste your money. For the high price, this place is dreadful. Our 'luxury room' had: Holes in the ceiling, dirty and disgusting bathtubs.. we therefore refused to use, tissue dispensers hanging off the wall, shower handle hanging off the wall and therefore dangerous & unusable, holes and tears in the shower curtain, fireplace didn't work. We spent 2 nights here and it cost over $1000! Never again.

Great Stay We very much enjoyed our stay at Poco Diablo. Great room, clean and comfortable. All the modern conveniences. Good bedding too. Beautiful setting all around. Helpful and friendly staff. The grounds with the outdoor pits were a special touch.

Great place to stay as a hotel My wife and I went to Sedona and decided to stay in this hotel which is a located a few miles before Sedona when driving from Phoenix. This is more a hotel than a resort or spa. The place is beautiful, clean and well maintained, in a great location and surroundings. We stayed in a large room in the second floor in front of the swimming pool. Room was very comfortable, good TV (not too big) frigobar, A/C, varanda. The bathroom was nice, with one additional sink outside the bathroom, which was very convenient as my wife and I could use one sink each one. Despite of cold weather (but sunny and blue sky), I enjoyed the heated pool and the jacuzzi (don't miss it). The place has plenty of parking space. Check in and check out very efficient, friendly people working there. We didn't use the restaurant, we decided to eat in town, including breakfast. But it seems that the hotel restaurant is nice. I saw other reviews, but we have nothing to complain. We booked this place as a hotel, not as a resort or spa, so the rates were really good for the size and quality of room and the pool/jacuzzi.

Save your money This is no where near being a modern or luxurious hotel. The rooms smell, the carpet looks old, the bathrooms are not updated. The view sucked, which I paid extra for. Romantic tub was black. Fireplace spent work. Only giving 2 stars because at the end of the day it was a bed to sleep on. Not what I expected for an anniversary “resort” stay.
