Kissimmee, Florida: Easy Access to World-Famous Theme Parks and Major Orlando Attractions

Located on the banks of Lake Tohopekaliga, Kissimmee sits about 22 miles from downtown Orlando and just 16 miles from the Walt Disney World® Theme Parks. The world’s most-visited entertainment resort spans roughly 30,000 acres, encompassing four theme parks, two water parks, five golf courses, and the Disney Springs® Area. There’s no shortage of things to do here: begin your day at Magic Kingdom® Park by boarding Space Mountain® Attraction, a rocket-shaped three-seater that climbs to 180 feet before entering a deep black tunnel and racing past stars, satellites, and constellations. After that, ride past the ghastly goofballs inside The Haunted Mansion. For dinner, head over to Epcot® to sample cuisine from Morocco, Mexico, France, Italy, and several other countries at the World Showcase. As one of the most popular family destinations in the world, sunny Orlando is home to other theme parks including Universal Orlando Resort and SeaWorld Orlando.

Those hoping to shake up the typical theme-park-dominated itinerary can head into downtown Orlando’s vibrant arts district. The neighborhood boasts venues such as the CityArts Factory, a multifaceted patchwork of gallery spaces, and SAK Comedy Lab, which holds improv shows five nights a week.

Should be shut down Saved for a long time to go to Orlando. Booked this hotel & wished I could afford to come home as soon as we got there. No restaurant or bar, dirty rooms, on & off WiFi, dirty pool. Hardly any staff. Had to keep asking for clean towels no change of sheets in a fortnight. This place is a disgrace & should be closedown

Dirty rooms - I would never stay at this hotel My family and I were planning on driving up to Disney on Saturday morning and staying for a few days and had a Disney hotel lined up. Last minute we decided to get a hotel room Friday night, so we didn't have a 3 hour drive Saturday morning. I found this inexpensive room and booked it figuring it would be fine for one night. I arrive at the hotel around 10 PM and went to check in. I waited to check in for 30 minutes while another customer was irate about his 3 rooms that 4 of the 6 beds had stains on them and the sheets hadn't been laundered. The woman who checked me in told me to "check the room to make sure it's clean and let her know" after handing me my key. We drove back to our room and unloaded my sleeping kids. When we got to the room, the first thing I did was pick up the sheets on the first bed, and there is a huge stain and and a bunch of visible dirt on the sheets. I checked the other bed and same thing - it was clear the beds had been made, but clean sheets weren't put on. I was traveling with my wife and 2 kids and there was no way I was staying at this hotel. I returned my room key, let the lady up front know how disgusting the room was. I booked a room that was another 30 minutes away, but at least I got a good nights sleep in a clean bed. I paid for 2 rooms that night, and couldn't get a refund on this one. Lesson learned you get what you pay for. I would never stay at this hotel by myself, let alone with my wife and kids. I would look past the cheap rate and pay a little more for a hotel where the cleaning people actual do their job and the rooms are clean. This place was disgusting, and there are plenty of other options close by.
