Lincoln City, Oregon: Artsy Community on Rugged Pacific Coast

For years, colorful blown-glass floats used to wash up on Lincoln City’s shores after having been used on the other side of the Pacific by Japanese fishermen. Most of the glass balls you’ll see along the 7 miles of beachfront today were left by local artists—if you find one, you can keep it. It’ll be a nice souvenir of Lincoln City’s flourishing arts scene, reflected in the numerous galleries, antique shops, and ceramics studios peppering the town’s streets. After browsing, grab a bite at one of the town’s many fresh seafood restaurants.

Back on the beach, you’ll see lots of local wildlife, including harbor seals and sanderlings. Gray whales migrate through the area from mid-November through mid-May. A few miles north stands Cascade Head, a towering headland that juts into the ocean. Hiking trails crisscross the rugged cliffs; while you’re on the paths, keep an ear out for sea lions.

The area was really nice our view and the fact we were right on the water was great! Everyone was very friendly the only thing is the room was dated 😬 I know they are remodeling so I just missed an updated room! Otherwise, I would gladly stay there again!!

Amazing beachfront property! But there was no hot water, the phone didn't work and 90% of the hotel was under construction.

Not recommending this place NEVER AGAIN! The photos are deceivin, this place is nasty, dirty, stinky and stuffy. my room had a water leak above the bed corner wall, the tv border had sticky fingerprints, and the shower was hair plastered on the shower wall. this place isn’t worth any money. the only thing good was the location and the coffee. everything else was a disappointmen. I requested a refund because I had to check out a day early because of the leak. I was only going to be there 2 nights and the first night I was already regretting it, the smell was terrible. people hanging out in the parking lot not sure what they were doing. shady place all around. I am prepared to fight for my refund if they refuse to honor it.

Complete waste of money. Disgusting and gross Room was DISGUSTING. Pictures online are probably from a decade ago. I did not expect much, but this was absolutely unacceptable. We could not stay the night due to the room being so poor. We tried to just use the hot tub, but there was a giant dead bug inside, even though the front desk person said it was cleaned that day. It definitely was not! No exterior lighting, so trying to even get to the hot tub was a hazard. The room was so gross, we did not feel comfortable at all. We knew within 10 minutes we just couldn't stay, and dropped the keys at the office shortly after checking in. I called 3 times to ask for my money back, but the manager was away, so I left my information multiple times. NEVER RECEIVED A CALL BACK AT ALL. This place is a ripoff. Do yourself a favor and book a room at the starfish manor if you want a decent room with a hot tub

Comfortable, great view, four paws up! Just what we wanted, a view of the waves with nothing but the window in between. Storm watching heaven. Comfortable room, easy beach access and importantly very dog friendly. Four paws up from our pooches. Close to groceries and restaurants.
