Niagara Falls, Ontario: Panoramic Views of the Falls

At Niagara Falls, water thunders downward from a height of nearly 200 feet, crashing onto craggy boulders below. The falls straddle the border between Canada and the United States, but the Canadian side of the Niagara River is universally hailed as the finest vantage point to take in all three of Niagara Falls’ photogenic brinks: American, Bridal Veil, and Horseshoe Falls.

Hornblower cruises ferry raincoat-clad passengers around the base of the falls from April to October, depending on the river’s ice conditions. Year-round, Journey Behind the Falls grants a glimpse behind the curtain of Horseshoe Falls—visitors board an elevator that descends 150 feet into the bedrock, then stand at an observation deck steps from the cascading water. A 10-minute walk from the falls is the neon-lit Clifton Hill neighborhood.

Amazing views from a fallsview room! We loved our fallsview room on the 12th floor. We had 2 queen beds, plus a sitting area with sofa bed, swivel chair, and fireplace. We had an outstanding view of both the American and Horseshoe falls. We traveled at an off peak time, during the week, so service was terrific and the elevators were quick. This hotel is in an outstanding area, with Clifton Hill next door, and the rainbow bridge in Niagara city cruises just across the street. It has a casino and water park attached. The casino is a great place to exchange currency. We self parked in the garage near the casino, and you could make it back to the hotel through walkways, or you could also walk outside. The rooms do not have a microwave, just a refrigerator. I believe there are microwaves on odd floors. We brought our own food for breakfast and did not eat at the hotel buffet, which we heard was very expensive. Highly recommend this hotel, as long as you book a fallsview room.

Terrible VIP fireworks experience! We booked the “VIP” experience to see the fireworks. It was anything but. They wouldn’t let us up because we were not residents and wanted to charge an extra $30! By the time a manager (who was quite rude and unhelpful) arrived and let us upstairs we had missed the beginning of the fireworks. Included in the price was a bottle of Prosecco and a charcuterie board which wasn’t nearly enough for two. It isn’t a great view either. Save your money

Perfect location, great views Stayed 1 night, large room, well equipped with comfortable beds and a great view of the falls (we were on the 22nd floor), fast lifts, very busy ground floor with reception, eateries and shops, good facilities and helpful staff especially concierge who held our luggage for us. Well located and easy to find. Definitely recommend.
