The four-star ArtHouse Hotel New York City is located on Manhattan's Upper West Side, within two blocks of the American Museum of Natural History and the famous Shake Shack burger joint. This Jazz Age meets industrial-chic hotel is also within walking distance of Central Park, Lincoln Center, and the Beacon Theatre.
Northern Italian food and dim sum are on the menu at the onsite Serafina and RedFarm restaurants.
Roaring Twenties bar: The stylish Arthouse Wine Bar has a sleek bar and a library.
Stylish guest rooms feature wood floors, locally made artwork, and custom bathroom amenities.
Manhattan’s Upper West Side: Tony Residential Neighborhood with 19th-Century Townhouses and Waterfront Parks
Set between Central Park and the Hudson River, the Upper West Side is one of the toniest neighborhoods in New York City. Classic brownstones and prewar buildings line streets that are recognizable from innumerable movies and television shows, including Seinfeld, Sex and the City, and Woody Allen’s Hannah and Her Sisters. The neighborhood is a favorite address of the rich and famous—the Ansonia building, to take just one example, has been called home by everybody from Babe Ruth to Angelina Jolie.
Carousels, bike paths, and manmade lakes fill the iconic, 843-acre Central Park, which you can access via the entrance at 72nd Street. For a quieter alternative, head west to Riverside Park, where you’ll find beautiful flower gardens and waterfront picnic spots. Nearby, you can duck indoors at the American Museum of Natural History, where you can stroll past lifelike dioramas, a full-size model of a blue whale, and a Tyrannosaurus rex made up of fossils up to 65 million years old. Another classic New York institution is just southwest of here: Lincoln Center, home to the Metropolitan Opera and the New York Philharmonic.

Nice and clean hotel Staying in the Arthouse hotel was perfect for us. Nearby Central Parc and subway. And close to the family we were visiting.
The bar was very nice and for breakfast we would recommend the Almond croissants, they were delicious. At night you could have a drink with live music.
Hotelroom was clean and towels were provided every day.

Nice hotel with cozy lobby area It was the most convenient spot for my stay in New York City. The area is mainly residential and easy living. Many coffee and restaurants at a walkable distance. Central park is just 2 blocks away. The staff was helpful and kind. The room was clean and at the desirable temperature.

GREAT Location but 8/10 accommodations Great location in upper west side. However I wouldn’t spend extra money on breakfast. It is just coffee and a pastry. Our curtain was broken and so we had no sunlight in our room and the showerhead is a sprayer so it never worked right to keep you wet unless you held it. Overall 8/10.
