Dallas, Texas: Rejuvenated Urban Districts and Historical Parks

Though some know Dallas only for the massive AT&T Stadium (which is actually in Arlington), the city is also an enclave of arts and nature, overflowing with botanical gardens, art galleries, and live theater. Historic Main Street connects many of the city’s recently rejuvenated urban districts, as well as the popular Main Street Garden, a block-long public park surrounded by architecturally significant buildings.

A short walk from downtown Dallas, you’ll find horse-drawn carriages clopping along brick streets in the city's historic West End district, which dates back to the 19th century. This part of the city also contains Dealey Plaza, where President Kennedy was assassinated in November 1963. At The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza, housed in the former Texas School Book Depository, you can visit the spot where Lee Harvey Oswald is believed to have shot at Kennedy’s presidential motorcade.

Great shower head! Friendly staff right from the start. Great shower head! Nothing worse than a trickling shower. Bed very comfortable. Love the overall style of the hotel. Breakfast was tasty. Easy parking. Cool furniture throughout the hotel and artwork. A rug of some sort would be nice in the room to soften things up. Otherwise nothing to complain about:-)

Noise at night x 2! A very loiud and long noise , ~5+ minutes occurred our 1st night @ ~ midnight & 5 AM. It was loud enough to awaken and keep us awake while it lasted. The 2nd night, the next door guests arrined in their room @2;30 AM, talking so loudly & banging/slamming drawers(?) that flowed the the wall & the open space at the bottom of the mutual door seprating between the rooms. They continued talking loudly such that I tried to muffle it by placing a bath towel ove the space. It did help some, enough for us to get back to sleep. The breakfast staff & food were great.

Great trip to the Beeman Hotel. Friendly and hardworking staff. Nice hotel with a great location next door to SMU. We had an excellent stay for college move in. The hotel was clean. We had a spacious room with great A/C. With moving, we had a lot of stops at the Valet parking. Hughes Amadou was outstanding. He provided outstanding service. He kept our car safe when it was fully loaded and drove it up Valet efficiently multiple times when we needed it. The Valet guys were working round the clock in 100 degree weather. We really appreciated their hard work. I would recommend the Beeman for anyone visiting SMU. Great location, decent gym and pool, spacious rooms and a nice coffee bar in the mornings.
