Clean room. Comfortable bed. A nice stay in presents of Covid-19. It would have been much funnier if the bar and bus transport to Zorn Brewery were operating. Darn social distancing. We hope to visit again when all has settled.

My husband and I have no words to describe this little getaway I had planned for his birthday. No one and I mean NO ONE was there after bar closed at 9 pm. Continental breakfast was suppose to be included from 7-10 but no one showed up to set up when we went @8:30. Front desk was empty besides for when we checked in around 1. Husband went out to car @ 9:30 pm and could not get back in because key wouldn’t work! Thank goodness he had his phone on him or we both would of been locked out if I had went to look for him!!! . Never could get key to work.
I could go on and on .....Super disappointing.

Disappointed Disappointed in our stay. We were looking forward to a relaxing stay at The Brewery Lodge but here is our experience. Starting with the lodge, walking from check in to our room desperately needs updated to make guests view a more welcoming site it is Very rundown. Our bathroom was Very dated. Needed new paint on doors. Bed and wood paneled wall as shown on website was nice. But disappointed in the rest of the room being run down, for the price. I wish the site would show bathroom pictures to help in choosing to stay at the Brewery Lodge.
The lodge was very noisy. We were on the bottom floor with a lot of noise from the hallway. The walls must be super thin to hear all this noise. Heavy noise from walking- pounding above us. Which lasted for hours. The above noise was within the posted quite times, so I did not report. Housekeeping started cleaning very early on Sunday running vacuum cleaners cleaning rooms.
We had dinner reservations at the lodge. They do need a sign to go to the bar to ask for a table. No one greets you at the restaurant entry so you are unsure if you should wait for a host to seat you. After waiting a while Another guest told us you need to go to the bar to ask to be seated. The food was good, but they need more help. The restaurant has a nice lodge atmosphere.
We had Sunday brunch the next morning. Only one waitress. She did her best, but service of course was slow as she was trying to take care of all customers. She was very nice so that helped.
The food on the other hand was the worst breakfast that we have ever had. And this includes hotel continental free breakfast food…
We had the Veggie Frittata the menu said 3 eggs, mushrooms, onion, bell pepper, tomato for $12
It did not come with cheese, so we added cheese. It did not come with any sides, so we added toast. Our experiences with breakfast at other restaurants will have toast, hashbrowns with the meal. And the eggs will give you a choice of cheese.
Our Veggie Frittata Only came with eggs, bell peppers and onions. The eggs were dry and bland not favorable at all. They forgot the rest of the ingredients. When we were able to tell our busy waitress she said she would get mushrooms for us. Quite a bit later we were served one small plate with mushrooms on it for us to add to our now cold eggs. Breakfast for 2 costs us $45.00. If it would had been good, it would have been worth the cost.
Very disappointing to say the least. I would not recommend staying at the Lodge when paying over $300 a night unless they do major updates.

Great value, and woodsy vibe Stayed one night, while travelling. Chose this place because of the great price compared to other michigan city hotels. I read the reviews, some were not accurate. Our king room with ground floor patio was lovely . Very clean..yes, a bit of paint might be needed here and there, but it didn't take away from the rustic ambiance. Bathroom was great, new tiles, lovely amenities, and fantastic huge bath towels. Didn't like the navy blue sheets (prefer white). Yes, could hear noises in the hall, or upstairs above us, but silence all night!

Our staycation away from home Quaint lil chalet in the woods. We enjoyed the walking trails and ate at the supper club restaurant. We enjoyed the take your time & enjoy your dining experience (too many times we eat out in such a hurry). The waiter/bartender was fun & personal, I highly recommend the Stay and Relax cocktail _ We both had steaks, tender and flavorful! Would come back for sure.
