St. Louis, Missouri: Urban Park Space and Brewery Tours in the Gateway City

The first thing you notice about the St. Louis Gateway Arch is its height: at 630 feet, it’s the tallest manmade monument in the United States, and it dwarfs the other buildings of the St. Louis skyline. Less obvious is the fact that the Arch is exactly as tall as it is wide, stretching out along the banks of the Mississippi River. You can take a ride to the summit for a bird’s-eye view of the city’s skyline and riverboats riding the Mississippi. Make sure you get to the Arch before 10 a.m.; after that, the lines start to get long, and tickets sometimes sell out in the afternoon. A few miles down the river, you’ll find the headquarters of brewing giant Anheuser-Busch, which began producing there in 1852. On a tour through the red-brick brewery, you can sample beers and visit the stables where the company keeps its iconic clydesdale horses.

Nearby Forest Park’s more than 1,200 acres of green space are also worth a visit. Contained in this space is the Saint Louis Zoo, which corrals hundreds of species in several different habitats; it’s frequently cited as one of the best zoos in the country, and entrance is free.

Everything was wonderful and everyone was so ver accommodating. I am surprised they have anything to do with the thieves at Groupon. It was a good thing to deal with The Last Hotel, they had great customer service in all areas. They were somewhat pricey but I didn’t mind because the service was so great. Groupon sucks. They stole my money. I paid for the same room twice. Customer Service played a

Charming Hotel With No Service We chose this hotel because it’s one of very few in the area which has an outdoor roof top pool and it did not disappoint. The hotel has quite a unique charm. The building was once a shoe factory. Much of the decor from the early 1900’s has been preserved. The rooms have small windows, no balconies. The area is very shady. It feels fine during the day but gets very loud and uncomfortable in the evening/night. I would definitely not feel safe walking around. Here comes the ugly. Although they clearly advertise on the website that there is a restaurant at the hotel it has actually been closed for months. They also advertise a bar which has been closed for months. They also advertise that you can get small bites and drinks at the rooftop and that isn’t available either. This was all a huge disappointment. All they have is a small breakfast stand and fridge with soft drinks. Apparently there are issues between the two owners and there is basically no management running the hotel. I realize that these types of things happen but they need to change the website!

If you're smart, you'll pass!! The hotel has "potential", but not while we were there. It was inconceivable to me that there was NO privacy in the bathroom/shower area. When you came through the door, there was an open space where there was a clear glass door on the shower. NO privacy!! I was there with 3 other people, including my son who I would not want him seeing me shower!!! The windows were so dirty (3rd floor) you couldn't see out of them. My bed was made with the sheet on TOP of the bedspread. I couldn't believe it. Was also told the stadium was a black away.....ended up being 8 or 9 blocks away! The pool was nice - all 3.6' of it. The bar was closed and the kitchen was closed. Will not be going back. There is more but I hit the most shocking details. Needless to say we will not be staying here again.

A modern Mid century stay The hotel was so beautiful! The walls were a little disappointing, but that’s a part of its old charm. It’s not going to be perfect, but I love the view from the pool. I wish I had more time to stay. they were so sweet. It was my boyfriend‘s birthday and they said happy birthday. They also got him something from the convenience store, which is really nice. They were. The staff was really really helpful and kind.
