Not good. Room had mold. Definitely not a 5 star… very misleading I just created this account to leave this review. Honestly truly disappointed with my stay . Upon arrival I had to have maintenance come and unplug my tub the first day, as it would not drain. I found mold on my bathroom ceiling. They were at least quick enough to send housekeeping up to clean it. My fridge was only replenished half the time. I’m honestly glad I did a few excursions to take me away from this resort. The housekeeping and bar staff were all hard working and I made sure to tip accordingly. The alcohol was certainly not premium like you’d expect at a 5 star resort. This is maybe a 4 star at best. You do hear a lot of doors slamming and people walking in the halls at all hours of the night. Truly a underwhelming stay and was glad to get home. Went on one excursion and met someone who had a beachfront room. His room was infested with ants. Every time they changed the bed he would come back to another infestation. I’m so glad I didn’t spring for a beachfront room. It seemed like there was always someone down at customer service complaining. Unfortunately I will not be back here and next time in Cancun I’ll make sure I book a real 5 star.

The good, the bad, the ugly, all truth Visiting this resort for the first time, got the Sian Khan package which is sold as a adults luxury 5 star experience. The property is very nice, and the food is good. That is if you have the black or sian Khan package otherwise you can't get the restaurants. The problem, the resort tries to be everything to everyone, kids, spring breakers, 20 somethings, and luxury clients. Sadly they don't do any of it well which is the norm when any brand tries to do too much. There is no defines areas, and it's all a mix of things, kids are at the adult pool bar and listening and watching adult games played at the beach party. The supposed luxury side is small, not well defined and can only be reserved which is difficult because of the small area. Luxury, This is where this resort really falls short and makes the experience disappointing, no matter which package you get premium liquor is not included, worse even it's actually available but sold by the shot, so only cheap beer and drinks, even in the so called premium area. Worse yet at some restaurants they don't even include the cheap liquor, it's only available for sale. Same with the nicer pool area is only available for purchase regardless of package. People, very nice and attentive. All in all if you are looking for a true luxury all adult experience like Sandals or similar this is not your place

BOOK AT YOUR OWN RISK-WE HAVE BEEN IN HOSPITALITY FOR 25+ YEARS EACH Horrible! We are currently here. We booked through Expedia and tried to get refunded 30 min after check in. Rooms are dirty, moldy, found mold on my pillow, coughing and sneezing since the moment we arrived but only while in the room. Grounds are dangerous, lots of sharp corners, nothing but stairs everywhere which isn’t horrible, but is when added to the list of terrible things. We stay at Cancun & Riviera Maya all inclusive as sometimes twice a year and this food by far, is the worst. Not staffed well at all. No water at any of the beach bars, one bartender for each bar/snack area with hundreds if not thousands at this place. The grounds are huge and have potential but it’s wasted here. The only place staff and customer service is great is at the beach club, where we have paid $180-$250 daily since it’s additional and not included and has bottle service. The beach is terrible. Waves are too big to enjoy, you cannot get in the water the waves are so strong and if you do, it’s at your own risk! No beach chairs, no umbrellas, dirty pool areas, very rude staff everywhere except the beach club. Booked 2 double beds and were given one king. When we let them know it’s not what we reserved-and paid for, we were told they didn’t have anything-take it or leave it. Compromised on them getting back to us on night 3 of our trip to move us, never happened. Complained about everything to staff and were told by 2 different staff members “it’s because it’s busy. The staff is tired” which proves they’re aware and understaffed. Please also note this is a party resort! Nothing relaxing about it. I paid over $4000 to be sleeping on a cot that is continuously moist and moldy. You cannot smell it. Bathtub is super high around the edges and very narrow. Really uncomfortable and dangerous, especially if you are shorter in height or have any disabilities or handicaps. We have made friends here with other hotel guests and we have not met anyone who is happy, and wasn’t sold on lies. Pretty sure they are deleting bad reviews. Please be warned, book at your own risk. Plenty of resorts around here that will be better and will treat you better. Catalonia, any of the Riu’s, Hard Rock, Secrets, Dreams. Have stayed at all of those and had a wonderful time. We also booked Pyramid Oasis which is supposed to be the VIP whatever here. And it’s terrible. Beach food vendors serving inedible greasy stale food, again no water outside unless you are paying extra to stay at the beach club. Expedia has not been responded to by the hotel after we have been following up since 3/24. Still waiting on a response for refund on the stay…so far nothing.
