Beautiful unit I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. The location was perfect, it was a central location . The office staff was friendly, however the office is closed on the weekend . The in unit washer and dryer were a plus. We also had a unit that faced the lake so that was a plus. My friends also loved the rooftop. The only downside is when we came home at 2:00am and someone was outside doing crack but that’s not the venues fault.

Lots of pros...HUGE cons for long-term guests I’ve been staying at the Saddlery for 2 weeks now and there are definitely some pros and cons: PROS: -location: although it’s not quite at the center of downtown (i.e. where all the State Street action is), it’s still downtown! You’re right next to lake Monona, which is nice. -weekly housekeeping: this is included in your stay, which seems like a no-brainer for standard hotel stays, but if you’re treating it like more of an “apart-hotel” and staying long-term like I am, it’s a huge plus -water, electricity, and internet are included: again, no-brainer for hotel stays, but if you’re staying long-term, this is a huge convenience -the building is secure: keyless entry with 4 digit PINs for entry into the building and your unit -the building is brand new: from an aesthetics and hygiene standpoint, this is also nice because everything looks and feels brand new; they did an amazing job with decor -the staff is super friendly and helpful CONS: -it seems like there isn’t really a “screening” process for guests (so in this regard, it’s more of like a hotel vs an apartment), which means your neighbors could be annoying college students -the walls are paper thin: you can hear EVERYTHING – people putting their dishes down, walking around, etc. This likely won’t bother you if you’re staying 1 or 2 nights, but if you’re staying long-term, this could be a deal-breaker, especially when your neighbors don’t respect quiet hours, are annoying college students/younger, and have a big group of people over often :/ -lack of storage space: again, if you’re staying a few nights, you can get by with little closet/storage space – if you’re staying long-term, you might be living out of your suitcases until you find something more permanent So, lots of pros – but the cons are BIG cons and could be a dealbreaker for you, depending on your individual preferences (and how quickly you get annoyed with noises from your neighbors). The cons aren’t as big of a deal if you need a furnished place downtown for a few nights…but I couldn’t/wouldn’t stay here for more than 2 months (currently, I’m even struggling to make it that far).
