Hotel at a Glance: The Vintages Trailer Resort

Although the Vintages Trailer Resort overlooks stunning vineyards, the most interesting sight might be the lodgings themselves. The private trailers are pulled straight from the ’50s and ’60s, decked out with gleaming chrome or retro siding. But for all their old-school appeal, the trailers don’t sacrifice comfort—each is outfitted with comfortable hotel-quality bedding and a kitchenette.

  • Experience wine country with an included tasting for two at Durant Vineyards.
  • Take a spin on the two included cruiser bicycles and visit Dayton, which is less than 1 mile away.
  • Backyard barbecue: Each trailer includes an outdoor patio with a propane grill and furniture.
  • Bring the pup: Four-legged friends can stay for a fee, and sites are next door to a dog park.

Willamette Valley, Oregon: Hillside Vineyards and Historical Exhibits

Taste the fruits of family-owned boutique wineries and metropolitan tasting rooms in Willamette Valley, a prolific wine-tasting region famous for its production of world-class pinot noirs culled from sloping hillside vineyards. Winter’s Hill Estate, a family-owned vineyard, produces pinots with sustainable practices. To sip artisan reds, head to historical downtown Carlton, where Scott Paul Wines hosts intimate tastings in a restored creamery built in 1915.

The Willamette Valley also contains several historical sites. Evergreen Aviation & Space Museum is home to more than 200 aircraft and exhibits. You’ll find the original Spruce Goose, built by Howard Hughes in the 1940s to be the largest plane ever constructed. The museum is also home to an educational water park and a six-story 3D IMAX theater. For more Willamette Valley history, visit Willamette Mission State Park, which marks the spot where Methodists established a missionary in the 1830s to convert Native Americans.

Staff was great. The vintage trailer was fun and a unique experience. We used our stay as an opportunity to explore a variety of tasting rooms in Oregon's wine country as well as restaurants in nearby McMinnville and Carlton

We didn't get to go wine tasting due to the virus, but just staying in the cozy trailer and going on bike rides was really fun.

Wonderful Place!! We stayed one night while on our way to the coast. The bed was fantastic and the attention to cleanliness was amazing. We felt like we stepped back in time 50 years. It was very clean and so was the park. And it was nice and quiet too! We will definitely be back!!

Great vintage trailers to stay in Nice area with many wineries. Great staff. Nice general store. And a double sided row of restored vintage trailers to rent and stay in. Many restored by Flytecamp and shown on their TV show. Staff sent us to some great wineries.

Glad we stayed here, but.... So glad we did this! From the moment we arrived, we were impressed with the "trailer resort". Staff at check-in was exceptional, our trailer was incredibly clean and well stocked with amenities. The entire experience was fun, including meeting some nice folks from nearby and a couple from Texas. The bed was comfortable and the provided coffee was out of this world! The experience also reinforced to us that we are not RV people. While the bed was comfortable, if you're the one against the wall, you better not need to get up at night to go to the bathroom. And the bathroom... well, we used the showers in the clubhouse. If there is a next time, I'm holding out for one of the larger Airstreams!
