Horrible! Do NOT book Worst hotel I have ever been to! It is cheap but dont be fooled. Dont be fooled by the nice pictures, cause they do all lie. Pool was dirty and looked like at had not been cleaned for a long time. Almost no staff at the hotel. Restaurants and bars were not open. Room was dirty, dirty beedshets, floor and toilet not working. In all - horrible! Can not recommend this for anyone. We were so disseapponted and ended up booking a new hotel and checking out after just 4 hours! Do your self a favour and dont book this, cause you will regret.

Do NOT recommend!! Horrible! Dirty room, toilet did not work, dirty bedsheet, no staff in the Hotel. It looks like and abandoned hotel. Checked out after one hour. This hotel has 8,4 rating but it has to be fake. 1/10 from us. Avoid! For people backpacking with a low budget you have roof above your head. It is better than camping but for a nice and enjoyable holiday keep out. Pictures is lying!

DO NOT GO TO THIS HOTEL. IT SHOULD BE CONDEMNED I am an avid traveler and travel reviewer. I have NEVER in my LIFE been so appaled by the conditions and customer service of a hotel/resort. The Waves Tulum is completely dilapidated. The pools were so filthy the water was sludge green and looked thick. Broken equipment. The walls in my room were so dirty, it looked like a cheap motel that went out of business. THERE IS ALMOST NO STAFF. It advertises a swim up bar and spa, YET IT IS MANNED BY NOBODY. The swim up bar utensils and pots and grills were so unused it had dust on it, like it set in an attic..... The female manager at the front desk was one of the most rude and disrespectful person I ever met. And MY ROOM WAS BROKEN INTO OVER NIGHT. IT WAS AN INSIDE JOB. The cenote they advertise is also A DANGER TO ANY HUMAN. THIS PLACE IS NOT SAFE! The fact that it is only 2 yrs old blows my mind. Look at the most recent reviews before making your decision. You have been warned. An immediate inspection should be had for this resort. Concerned Concerned Guest

Waves Tululm is a DO NOT GO!!. Not safe. Staff robs guest. The moment we got there we felt that the hotel seems a little deserted. The staff seemed scarce. We decided we were gonna make the best of it. We went to pool that I had to find the filtration system to turn on. So after a day in the pool hanging out playing music with bluetooth speaker we went back to room. Cleaned up and decided go grab pizza. Step out the hotel for no more than 45 mins. On our return we came back to a ransacked room and started to notice things missing such as sneakers, clothes, money and electronic devices.. rushed back to front desk to tell them and 5 other guest came to tell them they were robbed too. Also there safe was opened and money taken. So we concluded that it was a inside job. It was staff member with a key. The doors was not broken. They claim they have no access to cameras. Police were called and they did nothing saying it's up to the hotel discretion. Didn't even take a complaint. Was told to make our way down to the station. Mind you they took all our cash and taxi will not accept credit cards. Staff never apologize for situation nor try to help. All of a sudden they couldn't get in touch with any management. Never even offer to refund. When ask we was told to go thru were we purchased.

Mixed Feelings - Solitude Yet Great Service This was an interesting stay. We arrived on a Wednesday to what felt like an almost abandoned resort. Very cool in theory, but up to Friday we saw maybe 5 people. With the inability to drink the tap water, we had hoped water bottles or other filtered water would be easily provided to us, but we found it extremely difficult to get bottled/filtered water and had to trek to a local convenient store to get our own. The property itself is very beautiful and has a lot of potential and it’s possible we were there during a slow time, but with three pools and two poolside bars, one pool was not filled all the way and neither bars were in service during the length of our stay. The cenote advertised on their website was also closed during the length of our stay. Having this information on the website or sent in a welcome email would have been extremely helpful. My rating would have been lower; however, our first night we were met with who we believe is the waiter; bartender AND chef. He was SO kind and attentive and went above and beyond every single day that we ate at the resort’s restaurant. Richie truly made our stay a great one and we cannot thank him enough!
