Great family hotel experience but pool staff were rude I stayed at the Westin Chicago Northwest with my family of 5 for a long weekend in March 2025. We had a double queen junior suite which was the perfect size for me, my wife, and our 3 kids. I selected this hotel because I needed room for a family of 5 and wanted a hotel with a pool and close to a Metra station. The hotel was nice, service was great and the pool was cool. I have two gripes: the staff at the pool were rude and the coffee was not complimentary. The pool staff claimed they were not affiliated with the hotel and treated the guests with contempt. The pool ran out of towels and the pool staff expected me to find my own towels. I went back to my room and grabbed my own towels (which I was told not to do by the front desk staff), but then another guest at the pool took my towels! The room did have a sad coffee maker, and their was coffee available at the lobby marketplace, but the coffee was not very good and I feel like complimentary coffee is a small convenience that would have elevated the experience.

Horrible Awful! It’s been 8years since I’ve stayed at this hotel and now I remember why i wouldn’t stay there before. The heat in the room was stifling and no way to adjust.. and during a 5 night stay I had hot water only 1 of those days (none ever in the sink, shower only 1 day). I will definitely be finding another hotel to stay in.

Misleading From the beginning of the stay, I reserved a two bedroom, 1150 sq.ft King Suite. “Newly Renovated”, is what my Bonvoy app said, it was not. I was woken up by sawing, hammering, and stapling from the ceiling as they were currently under construction. The suites have not been renovated. I try to shower, the water won’t even get hot. After that, I just wanted some breakfast so I tried ordering room service and it didn’t work, they apologized for that too. Not to mention, the staff at The Westin hotels are known for their EXCEPTIONAL service, the staff and service members were not helpful and quite rude. I have to give the front desk woman credit, (Tianna)? She was the only one that tried to accommodate although moving us to a lower, guest room, was unacceptable. She was the only one that gave the BONVOY experience. This has been the worst The Westin Hotel experience, I’ve had as a Bonvoy member.

Annual conference made great by Julio and Miguel! We've had our annual conference at this location a few times and every time we're there it's been fantastic. The banquets and event staff are amazing. Julio and Miguel were attentive, personable, and communicated with us throughout the event to make sure we were taken care of and had everything we needed. Those two helped us tremendously whenever last minute changes were needed. They handled everything quickly and professionally. I will recommend we come back next year specifically because of the high level of service we received from Julio and Miguel. The event staff was also great. I didn't catch any of their names but whenever we needed help troubleshooting any of the microphones or the sound system, they were there immediately. 10/10 experience. Thank you all for a wonderful conference.

Lovely suit but loud beats Fantastic suit on the seventh floor with abundant master bedroom space, sprawling bathroom, lovely shower, nice secondary bed in living room, we found a good mini fridge with frozen section, quality view of the fountains, and easy check-in and elevator up. Only issue was surprisingly loud music blasting from outdoor speakers for a wedding at the Westin's event center. Noticed other reviews had experienced the same, very unusual to have consistently obnoxious beats at a facility mainly used for sleeping.
