It's fine This hotel is fine. The staff is really nice, the location is ok (you definitely need a car to get anywhere), the wifi works well, and the rooms are clean. The sleep quality is quite low. The pillows are super flat, the beds are a bit creaky, and you can definitely hear your neighbors in both their bathrooms and the hallways. The elevators are a bit slow as well. It's a bit of a tired and dated hotel, and to add to the complaints of others - parking is pretty expensive.

It is not free parking The parking is NOT free we had to pay over $13 for one night just to park in their parking lot!!! The room was ok but small, but the parking really irritated me! I would recommend you stay somewhere else. Also they don’t have breakfast only Starbucks, which is expensive and when you are here for medical reasons all that stuff adds up!

Nice Pros: Staff (Matthew!), Organic juices and water in the lobby, Starbucks in the lobby, beautiful scenery in (the chandelier) and out (mountains etc). Comfortable beds. Cons: No pool, older facility, scuffed door jams etc, needs updated bathrooms and all.

A Nice Hotel & Nice Location A good location, recently remolded, great location, quiet location, near walking/hiking paths by the University They have two restaurants, breakfast and bar, service was excellent. Starbucks located on ground floor.Clean and well maintained. But a draw back, my third time staying here, vast majority of the staff are very good but I have had two checkin issues, small. When I brought to the attention of a supposed Supervisor they were rude, talk down to you and said you lucky you got a room, I checked in at 3:05 PM? This is not the Marriott way. Marriott usually has great MGMT but this is one time they did not have. I have addressed this with Marriott Customer Care and waiting for a proper response from the Manager Otherwise I do recommend the hotel and I know Marriott will address the unpleasant experience I had with this supposed supervisor.

First Time in SLC We came to tour the University. The exercise room is dated. There are definitely some areas of the hotel that need attention. The location to campus was good - although it is still a drive. Paying for parking is odd given you are staying at the hotel. The member lounge is less than most other Marriotts. Our room was nice and comfortable - we had no complaints with the room. There is a small refrigerator, we had cleaning service each day (which we did not expect). The air conditioning was not very cool in our room but seemed fine in the lobby, etc. The bright spot of our stay was Riley at the front desk and a student at the U. He was friendly and extremely helpful. I cannot say enough about how helpful he was - giving us directions, information about local places to eat and see, making sure everything was good with our room, etc.
