Niagara Falls, Ontario: Panoramic Views of the Falls near Vegas-Style Casinos and Water Parks

At Niagara Falls, water thunders downward from a height of nearly 200 feet, crashing onto craggy boulders below. The falls straddle the border between Canada and the United States, but the Canadian side of the Niagara River is universally hailed as the finest vantage point to take in all three of Niagara Falls' photogenic brinks: American, Bridal Veil, and Horseshoe Falls.

Hornblower cruises ferry raincoat-clad passengers around the base of the falls from April to October, depending on the river's ice conditions. Year-round, Journey Behind the Falls grants a glimpse behind the curtain of Horseshoe Falls—visitors board an elevator that descends 150 feet into the bedrock, then stand at an observation deck steps from the cascading water. A 10-minute walk from the falls is the neon-lit Clifton Hill neighborhood. Its Fallsview Boulevard has plenty of Vegas-style kitsch, including glitzy casinos and indoor water parks.

UGLIEST HOTEL EVER! UGLIEST HOTEL EVER! No breakfast included! Extra charge per night for parking No daily housekeeping. No value for the money. We have 1 more night out of 4 to endure here! Lobby is deceiving - money is spent only on necessities. Whole hotel smells like a thrift store, probably because the carpets are not from this decade or last. Chairs, couches , tables in common areas look like they've came from garage sales. Our room - wallpaper (with border from the 1980s) peeling on walls. Closet door missing. Grandma's pink tile bathroom (probably original to the hotel). No chairs on the patio looking onto river & Horseshoe Falls. It was clean, but that's it. Didn't buy breakfast buffet because we didn't want to give them anymore money. Got clean towels and Kleenex when we asked for them. Staff friendly. Owner should be ashamed at not properly maintaining this hotel. Good reviews for this hotel likely fake. We booked through a third-party so we couldn't change hotels. DON'T STAY HERE!

Never go back here again. The room was good, food sucked, pool area cold and parking fees are a joke. Not at all the caliber of hotel portrayed in the booking.com listing. I will not be staying here again. Do not recommend this Travelodge to others. Not for this price, star rating is bloated a bit

Nice stay, great location Our room and the hallways were clean. The beds were comfortable, and we could see the rainbow bridge and river from our balcony which was also clean. We couldn't hear anything from adjoining rooms or from outside despite the wall of windows. It was a little chilly in our room, but keeping the curtains shut helped a bit. It was an easy walk to Clifton Hill, and to view the falls.
