The hotel is beautiful & clean. Very nice property. We used the hot tub, barrel sauna and cold plunge pool. Dinner, drinks and entertainment were fantastic at the pub Saturday night. The staff was friendly & helpful. Looking forward to my summer getaway there I have booked already!

The staff were most helpful. I had grabbed the wrong charger when I packed for my headphones and the front desk gave me a loaner charger. The staff went above and beyond what was necessary, all to ensure you enjoyed your stay. The food at breakfast was great with surprise hits that everyone enjoyed. Guests chatted amongst themselves briefly asking if people had tried the flute glass yogurt and fruit option. The sauna barrels were hit along with the hot tub. I didn't see anyone plunge into the pool but it was an option. Most people traveled from the hot tub to the sauna barrels and back. The guest robes were long and thick, so when walking outside to the hot tub you didn't feel the cold too much but were ready to get into the hot tub. It was a great and relaxing get away. Plus saw lots of deer from the breakfast dining room window. I used the gym four times and it had everything you could need. Generally I was the only person in the gym but it is set up well that if there were two or three more people in the gym you would all be able to get in your workout. However, lots of areas to walk and enjoy the outdoors.

Great experience. Although there was a bit of an issue with them running out of multiple breakfast items since the hotel was sold out, the staff were very helpful. The property itself is very nice and there's lots to do even in a winterstorm like the one during family day weekend. Would come back again.

Great Stay Went the Sunday of the Valentine's Day weekend. Enjoyed the great amenities like the hot tub and barrel saunas! Also loved our dinner at the hotel restaurant. Set menu but the desserts were as good as they looked. Also really liked that the resort was pet friendly. We will definitely go back.

Old World Elegance at Windmere House, Muskoka A dream I have had for some time, was to get married at the luxurious Windemere House Hotel, and having become engaged in the spring, 2024, it seemed like the perfect time to check it out. I contacted Event planner, Morgan Jennings, who is easy going, friend and incredibly helpful - it was an immediate connection. She was thrilled for the opportunity to host us for a couple of nights and although we were hoping to meet her, it was not possible that weekend. So, off we went, bags packed for a two night adventure - a 177km or two hour drive North from Newmarket, Ontario in late May, 2024. When we arrived at our very large suite, located on the second floor of the hotel, we were greeted with a bottle of champagne, local jams and maple syrup and a few goodies - what a beautiful touch! And, although it was a cool and wet weekend, we managed to have a swim in the pool and outdoor hot tub, as well as resting or walking the grounds. Our room included a large balcony with comfortable seating (one chair/one small sofa) overlooking gorgeous Lake Rosseau. Our king sized bed had a decorative swan made of rose petals, with petals surrounding it and what I liked best, was the 'black out' drapes! The bedsheets were of excellent quality and the bathroom sparkling clean. Our room was massive and nicely decorated, although a little outdated. Beautiful views from the balcony. As part of our weekend, we enjoyed a savory brunch daily, located in the dining room, which proved to be beyond our expectations. Everything from fruit to bagels/muffins and local jams to an array of hot food, such as bacon, sausages, scrambled eggs and potatoes was available as well as alcoholic drinks and cocktails. Probably one of the best brunches ever! And, the service was impeccable - friendly staff always willing to help, courteous and kind. Food was excellent and I really liked the sweet little touches on each table! Hotel highlights Luxury, Great view, Romantic, Quiet, Great value, High-tech The only negative about our stay was that the black flies were out with a vengeance! Otherwise, it was absolutely perfect and I can't wait to return for a winter weekend! _

Beautiful gem in the heart of muskoka what a beautiful hotel in a beautiful location. located on the shores of Lake Rousseau is this historic gem. Check in was quick and easy, we had a king size garden view room which was clean and spacious enough for our needs. The bed was a bit too soft but you can’t please everyone. The hotel itself is spotless and the staff were lovely. we enjoyed the outdoor heated pool and hot tub in the evening and sat by the fire afterwards. They also have 3 sauna barrels but all were in use when we were outside. They also have a heated outdoor patio where you can sit and they provide blankets if it’s chilly. we ate dinner at the pub and found the food good. Our waiter was fabulous. breakfast is included and is a plentiful buffet. Only complaint we had was that we arrived right at 8am when it opened and the eggs, sausage and bacon were not even lukewarm. Overall we had a wonderful, relaxing stay and would definitely return.
