Property at a Glance: Black Butte Ranch
Nestled to the east of the Cascade mountains, Black Butte Ranch surrounds guests with scenic natural beauty. The 1,800-acre property is framed by forests of aspen and pine, and seven mountain peaks stand in the distance. As you explore the grounds, you may see horses grazing in meadows or geese gliding across one of several lakes.
- Year-round adventure: The onsite rental shop offers bikes, snowshoes, cross-country skis, canoes, kayaks, and other equipment. Contact the resort for hours of operation for the rental shop.

Minutes away, the Hoodoo ski area offers day and night nordic and downhill skiing as well as snowboarding, sledding, and tubing. At nearby Three Creek Lake Nordic Trails, miles of well-marked trails allow for a full day’s worth of snowmobiling, snowshoeing, and cross-country skiing.
