Three-City Siteseeing Vacation of Australia with Luxury Accommodations and Guided Sightseeing Trips

Because it’s so big, Australia experiences a wide variety of climates that range from tropical in the north to temperate in the south. As a result, its lands are covered with a cornucopia of diverse terrain including white-sand beaches, rolling vineyards, and arid deserts. On this 15-day, 12-night Australian vacation, you’ll explore three cities with distinct landscapes and attractions, all situated along the coast. The trip includes airfare to Brisbane, Adelaide, and Sydney as well as luxury hotel accommodations, breakfasts, transfers and sightseeing tours in each city.

Days 1–6: Gold Coast

On the first leg of the tour, you’ll fly overnight into Brisbane and then head to Surfers Paradise, a seaside suburb in Gold Coast. This area of eastern Australia is a popular tourism destination as a result of its white-sand beaches and a sunny, subtropical climate. Prime surfing spots, high-end boutiques, and glitzy nightclubs are all within walking distance of your hotel.

Your stay in Surfers Paradise also includes a tour of the Australia Zoo, an award-winning wildlife-conservation facility owned by the Irwin family, as well as a full-day sightseeing tour of Byron Bay. The coastal town has some of the country’s most unspoiled beaches and is a great place to spot humpback whales, which migrate through the area from the end of June through October.

Days 7–10: Adelaide

Next up is Adelaide, a colonial city on Australia’s southern coast. The city is known for its historic stone architecture, spacious parks, and gourmet restaurants that buy local produce, meats, and seafood from the Adelaide Central Market; you can take a tour of the market to learn more about its history and growers. Adelaide is also just an hour south of the Barossa Valley, a famous winemaking region in southern Australia.

While in Adelaide, you’ll take a half-day sightseeing tour of the city and a full-day tour of Kangaroo Island, a sparsely populated island off the coast of South Australia that’s rife with nature preserves. On the tour, you might see kangaroos, koalas, and southern right whales.

Days 11–15: Sydney

Your trip concludes in Sydney, a modern metropolis that borders Sydney Harbor on the southeastern coast of Australia. Here, you’ll find the Sydney Opera House and a number of world-class museums, including the Art Gallery of New South Wales and the Australian National Maritime Museum. The latter is an indoor and outdoor gallery with interactive exhibits and a large fleet of historical watercraft.

Get to know some of Sydney’s most famous attractions on a full-day sightseeing tour of the city. The visit also includes a harbor cruise with stunning views of the skyline.
