Explore Rainforests and Beaches in Costa Rica

Days 1–3: La Fortuna
After your flight from the United States (airfare not included with this deal), you’ll arrive at Casa Luna Hotel & Spa, a rustic, colonial-style hotel near the Arenal Volcano. The next day is filled with adventurous activities, as follows:
- Zipline tour: You’ll whiz past colorful birds, over waterfalls, and through lush forests.
- Arenal Volcano National Park: At this roughly 30,000-acre park, you’ll find hiking trails, fertile rainforests, and a wide variety of plants and animals. Keep your eyes peeled for parrots, howler monkeys, and orchids.
- Arenal hot springs: Soothe tired muscles in warm pools created by the volcano’s geothermic activity.
- Choose your adventure: On day 3, you can pick one of the following activities: go whitewater rafting, cross hanging bridges, explore the Venado Caves, or go on a nocturnal nature hike.
Days 4–6: Jaco Beach
On day 4, you’ll be transported to the Best Western Jaco Beach All-Inclusive Resort for three days of R&R—not to mention unlimited food and drinks. The Pacific Ocean is just steps away, and there are swimming pools, tennis courts, restaurants, and bars onsite.
- Lounge by the sea: The resort has a sublime beachfront, and you’re only two miles from the popular Hermosa Beach for additional scenery.
- Crocodile boat tour: Before settling into beach mode, you’re in for one more adventure: a cruise along the Tarcoles River, during which you’ll get an up-close (yet safe) look at the crocs that live there.
- Onsite dining: Fill up at the buffet or opt for light snacks and drinks in the lobby or outdoor bar.
