Premium Cooking Vacation Highlights
Cooking classes: You’ll work alongside other students to craft four multi-course italian meals throughout your stay. Once your creations are complete, you’ll get to sit down and enjoy them with pairings from some of the best local wineries. Your final class focuses on the art of pizza making, taking you through pounding out the dough to picking the perfect toppings.
Behind-the-scenes food tours: Learn the art of cheese-making at the family-run Ponte di Legno on day 2 before making a trip to a local farmer’s market on the way back. On day 3, you’ll make some sausages (and taste some others) at Patrizio’s Family Farm, and sample local goat cheese at the neighborhood cheese shop, La Pastorella. You’ll even get to see how olive oil is made at a mill in Arpino, the birthplace of famed orator Cicero.
Visit to the seaside: Wander the shops and streets of the costal town of Sperlonga on day 3, but don’t fill up on gelato; tonight’s seafood-filled dinner unfolds on the beach at Trattoria Centosedici.
Winery tour: Attend a tasting lesson led by sommelier Patrizia Patini at the well-regarded Ciociaria winery Villa La Ferriera in Atina. Afterward, you can stroll amongst ancient structures in this former Roman fort city before a sumptuous dinner in town.
Frequently Asked Questions
1. How much would it cost to fly from an airport not listed as part of this deal? Airfare is not included with this deal.
2. Can we extend our trip before or after the promotional dates for the deal? Yes. Epitourean can arrange for lodging in Rome either before or after the main tour, plus any day excursions requested.
3. How do I find out if the dates I want to travel are available? Groupon customer should call 800-390-3292 or email customerservice@epitourean.com to inquire about desired dates. Customer should be a little flexible in choosing their dates. Epitourean will do everything possible to accommodate the requested dates, but we also run this tour virtually every week throughout the year.
4. What happens if I buy the Groupon and my travel dates are not available? If the dates requested by the customer are not available, they can request flexible dates so that they can use their voucher for a future date (where we honor the discounted price and pre-paid status), or they can request a refund through Groupon, as long as it is within the Groupon refund period.
5. Does my child need a Groupon, and can they stay in my room? This package is sold on a per person basis regardless of age. Due to the nature of the cooking class focus of these tours, we do not recommend kids under the age of 10. But kids pay the same price as adults in this particular package.
