During this 14-day tour, you’ll explore three of China’s biggest metropolises—Shanghai, Xian, and Beijing—and cruise through the Yangtze River’s rock gorges. Many of the sightseeing excursions along the way are guided, but you can also customize the itinerary by taking optional tours or checking out other landmarks in your spare time. Itinerary at a Glance

• Day 1: Depart for China.
• Day 2: Arrive in Shanghai, where you’ll have the rest of the day to explore on your own.
• Day 3: Take a tour of Shanghai with a stop at Yuyuan Garden in the Old Quarter.
• Day 4: Spend the day at leisure in Shanghai.
• Day 5: Fly to Yichang, where your Yangtze River cruise begins.
• Day 6: Sail through Xiling Gorge, part of the Three Gorges.
• Day 7: Sail through the 25-mile-long Wu Gorge.
• Day 8: See Shibaozhai temple, a 12-story pagoda built into a cliff.
• Day 9: End the cruise in Chongqing and catch a flight to Xian.
• Day 10: See the Terracotta Army, after stopping in lacquer furniture shop to learn more about this technique.
• Day 11: Transfer to Beijing and spend the rest of the day as you wish.
• Day 12: Marvel at the Great Wall of China on a full-day tour.

2. Can we extend our trip before or after the promotional dates for the deal? This deal is based on set airfare that cannot be altered.

3. How do I find out if the dates I want to travel are available? The dates available are listed on each option.

4. What happens if I buy the voucher and my travel dates are not available? You can either choose another date or we will refund you. We suggest calling Gate 1 Travel to redeem your vouchers as soon as possible so that you do not run into this problem.

5. Does my child need a voucher, and can they stay in my room? All travelers, including children, must have a voucher code in order to travel. Different occupancy arrangements may be requested with Gate 1 Travel at the time of reservation.
