Lisbon

Portugal’s capital stirs the senses with Gothic spires, hilltop castles, and winding backroads, where you can still hear locals singing plaintive fado songs. A tour of Lisbon includes stops at the city’s cathedral and the cobblestoned Alfama district.

• Belem Tower: a 16th-century limestone fortress at the edge of Lisbon Harbor
• Monument to the Discoveries: Sculptures of Ferdinand Magellan, Pedro Alvares Cabral, and Prince Henry the Navigator are perched atop the bow of this massive stone ship, which houses a space for exhibits inside.

Seville

Next, you’ll explore this colorful city, known for its bullrings, medieval plazas, and Moorish architecture. The Santa Cruz district boasts a large collection of historical buildings.

• Giralda Tower started out in the 12th century as a mosque minaret. Later, it was repurposed as a Christian cathedral’s bell tower.
• Plaza de Espana: The centerpiece of this red-brick plaza is a fountain surrounded by a canal and vibrantly tiled bridges.

Costa del Sol

After touring sites near the Strait of Gibraltar, you’ll have a full day to free time to spend however you’d like.

• Rock of Gibraltar: famous limestone monolith that towers over the sea at nearly 1,400 feet in height
• St. MIchael’s Cave: a natural cavern concealed within the Rock of Gibraltar; studded with stalactites, it contains—according to legend—a secret underwater passageway to Africa
• Morocco: Take a full day to tour the unofficial gateway to Africa. The Grand Market teems with stalls selling fresh produce, colorful silks, and handmade lanterns.

Granada

A day in Granada gives you plenty of time to take in ornate palaces and views of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Flamenco dance halls and tascas doling out free tapas make the city a feast for the senses.

• Alhambra Palace: A fantastical glow surrounds this castle, which has stood against the backdrop of the Sierra Nevada Mountains for roughly eight centuries. Dazzling courtyards feature marble fountains and reflecting pools.

Madrid

What happens if I buy the Groupon and my travel dates are not available?
You can either choose another date or be refunded by Groupon. We suggest calling Gate 1 Travel to redeem your vouchers ASAP so that you do not run into this problem.

Does my child need a Groupon, and can they stay in my room?
Yes, each person traveling (including children) needs to purchase a voucher. Your child may stay in your room, however there are limits as to how many people per room. Children must be at least 8 years of age to travel on this tour.
