Days 1–4: Dublin, Ireland

A postcard photo can’t do them justice—Ireland’s rolling green hills are sights to behold. In Dublin, this iconic landscape gives way to cobblestone boulevards and imposing Georgian mansions along the banks of the River Liffey, which flows right through the hub of the city. You can visit myriad attractions during your stay, including the Gothic, 13th-century Dublin Castle. It features the foundations of a 1,000-year-old viking fortress and one of the city’s oldest medieval towers. At the nearby Guinness Storehouse, you’ll learn the history of the famous brew and how it’s made. • National Museum of Ireland: This museum boasts three Dublin campuses for archaeology, natural history, and the decorative arts.

Days 5–8: Edinburgh, Scotland
