Days 1–2: Flight and London
After your overnight flight, you’ll touch down in London and be transferred to your hotel. Day 2 lets you stroll around London on your own time. Ride the London Eye Ferris wheel, watch the Changing of the Guard, or gawk at the Crown Jewels in the Tower of London.
Day 3: Stamford, York, and Leeds
You’ll meet your tour director and fellow travelers and take off in the morning for the north, stopping in the market town of Stamford. In medieval York, you’ll visit awe-inspiring York Minster, one of the largest Gothic cathedrals in northern Europe. Your tour director will lead you through the twisting streets, including the Shambles. The day ends at your hotel in Leeds.
Day 4: Jedburgh, Melrose, and Edinburgh
Ride through Northumberland National Park to the Scottish border. You’ll stop in Jedburgh, near the house of Mary, Queen of Scots, and then continue on to Melrose to see 12th-century abbey ruins. An afternoon arrival in Edinburgh leaves you the evening free to explore—have dinner and a pint in a local pub, or go shopping on famous Victoria Street.
Day 5: Edinburgh

Day 6: Gretna Green, Lake District, Chester, and Wrexham
You’ll head through the Lowlands to Gretna Green, the site of many elopements. Next up is a drive through England’s stunning Lake District national park and along the coast of Lake Windermere. A walking tour in Chester includes stops at Roman remains and half-timbered buildings. The group will spend the night in Wrexham, Wales.
Day 7: Stratford-upon-Avon and Cardiff
The day starts with a tour of Stratford-upon-Avon, a community devoted to William Shakespeare. It continues with a drive through the scenic Cotswold Hills before you head to Cardiff, Wales, for a driving tour that highlights this capital city’s major sights. You’ll see Cardiff Castle, Millennium Stadium, and Cathays Park during this tour.
Days 8–10: Bath, London, and Return Flight
The tour will stop first at the Georgian city of Bath and then at Stonehenge, where you can examine the monument up close. You’ll arrive back in London in the afternoon on day 8; the rest of the day will be yours to check out attractions you might have missed or pick up last-minute souvenirs. On day 9 and 10, you’ll have breakfast and be transferred to the airport for your flight back to the United States.
