Upscale Hilton in the Heart of Branson Landing
On the edge of Lake Taneycomo in downtown Branson, the newly built plaza known as Branson Landing serves as a modern-day town square with more than 100 upscale stores, theaters, and waterfront restaurants. Located right off the main drag is the Hilton Promenade at Branson Landing. From the hotel, you can glimpse the boardwalk’s choreographed fountain show: an hourly eruption of 120-foot geysers and fire cannons set to music.
Inside the Hilton Promenade at Branson Landing, spacious deluxe rooms are equipped with a 32-inch flat-screen TV and an extra-deep soaking tub in the bathroom. Venture across the street to the Hilton Branson Convention Center hotel to dine on 28-day-aged Kansas beef at Level2 Steakhouse or sip specialty drinks in Clear, the cocktail lounge.
Included with this Getaway are two tickets to one of eight attractions or shows, such as Titanic or The Neil Diamond Tribute. You can also embark on a guided sightseeing tour of Branson aboard a duck—an amphibious World War II vehicle that drives on land, floats in water, and burns bread crumbs as fuel.
Branson, Missouri: Family-Friendly Entertainment in the Ozark Mountains
Given its pastoral Ozarks setting, Branson seems an unlikely entertainment hub. But on any given day in the so-called “Live Entertainment Capital of the World," you can catch performances by comedians, country-music legends, and renowned acrobats. If you're traveling with kids, Silver Dollar City is a safe bet. The popular theme park is modeled after a historical mining town, where you can rattle through dark tunnels aboard a mining car, explore Marvel Cave on a lantern tour, and watch as blacksmiths hand-forge metal into avant-garde balloon animals.
Beyond the strip's glittering lights, Branson offers an abundance of outdoor activities. Within 50 miles of downtown, there are three large lakes—Table Rock, Taneycomo, and Bull Shoals—which are stocked with trout and dotted with rental boats. Just a few miles west of town, at Henning Conservation Area, you can bike or horseback-ride along Roark Creek and through dense oak forests. The 1,534-acre reserve was donated by Paul Henning, who was inspired to create the Beverly Hillbillies after a Boy Scout trip to Branson.
