This small island, located 35 miles west of Seattle, boasts rolling hills, adorable antique shops, and miles of vineyards. Be sure to check out at least one of the celebrated wineries on the island, whether it's Bainbridge Vineyards or the lauded Amelia Wynn Winery. If beer is more your style, stop at Bainbridge Island Brewing for a tasting in the taproom.
You can also take a scenic drive amid pine forests overlooking the Salish Sea and Puget Sound on your way to Fay Bainbridge Park. The 17-acre nature preserve has 1,420 feet of pristine coastline and sweeping views of the Cascade Range mountains. Visitors can hike and bike along the trails that crisscross the park, and if it's a clear day, Mount Rainier can be seen from the shore. Afterward, head back into town to visit the Bainbridge Island Museum of Art, which houses constantly changing collections of paintings and sculptures.
