Cruise of the Bahamas

During this Caribbean cruise, you’ll board the award-winning Norwegian Sky and travel from Miami to the Bahamas. Between stops, you can take a dip in the pool, press your luck at the casino, or get a seaweed massage at the Mandara Spa. All meals in the main dining rooms are included with this Getaway; for extra fees, you can partake in up to almost 50 excursions along the way.

Inside, ocean-view rooms feature TVs and refrigerators; balcony-view rooms open onto private, furnished balconies. Other facilities scattered across the ship’s 12 decks include nightclubs, basketball courts, and even a driving range.

Day 1: Miami

The cruise sets off from Miami at 5:00 p.m., but you can start your vacation early with one of the optional excursions. A guided tour of South Beach and Star Island spotlights the city's art-deco buildings and celebrity homes ($34 per adult, $24 per child). Or explore the Everglades via airboat ($59 per adult, $39 per child.)

Once aboard, there are plenty of ways to kick off your first night. Enjoy an alfresco dinner at Garden Café, or watch the staff perform renditions of Broadway hits onstage.

Day 2: Great Stirrup Cay, Bahamas

This morning you’ll dock at Great Stirrup Cay, a picturesque part of the Bahamas’ Berry Islands. The private 250-acre isle is reserved solely for Norwegian Cruise Line passengers, and is an ideal spot to try out adventure sports such as parasailing, snorkeling, and stand-up paddleboarding.

Day 3: Nassau, Bahamas

Nassau, the country's capital city, is the last port of call, and where most of the action takes place. You can while away the hours on white-sand beaches or at the casinos and duty-free shops—or venture out on one of dozens of optional excursions.

You can play with dolphins during the full-day Atlantis Dolphin Cay swim excursion ($299 per adults, $249 per child). Other water activities include snorkeling with a motor-powered scooter, and a submarine tour of a Nassau shipwreck. Those looking for a more relaxing afternoon can sail over to Blue Lagoon Island ($54 per adult, $39 per child) for swimming and sunbathing.

Day 4: Miami

The cruise will disembark on the last day at 7:00 a.m. unless you select the 4-day option which will make one final stop at the Grand Bahama Island. The extended cruise will then disembark on Day 5 at 7:00 a.m.
