Days 1-3: Cartagena

Your first stop on this vacation is the walled city of Cartagena, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Many of these are located in the historic La Candelaria district, as is the sprawling Plaza de Bolívar, where you’ll see a statue of Simón Bolivar—who led the revolution against Spanish rule—and the towering Cathedral of Bogota.
