Slopeside Condos with Ski-In, Ski-Out Access
Copper Mountain is one of Colorado’s largest skiing and snowboarding resorts: it features nearly 2,500 skiable acres, all naturally divided by skill level. Experts flock to the high-altitude bowls of Copper Peak, whereas beginners skirt down the tree-lined runs of West Village. Outside magazine recently named Copper Mountain one of the Best Ski Resorts in North America, citing the resort’s high safety ratings and staff-to-guest ratio as key factors. SkyRun Vacation Rentals’ condos are conveniently located near the slopes—many of the properties are ski-in, ski-out or just a short walk to the lifts.
One-bedroom and two-bedroom condos spread out across the mountain’s base villages, where amenities range from ice-skating rinks to indoor hot tubs. There are plenty of places to shop and dine in each village, including the beloved JJ’s Rocky Mountain Tavern, a pub known for its stone-oven pizzas and regularly scheduled live music. Non-skiers will appreciate access to a four-lane tubing hill, complete with jumps and varying slopes, and a 10-mile run for sleigh rides. You can also watch professional racers prep for gold at the US Ski Team downhill training site in the East Village.

Colorado’s Summit County: Denver’s Outdoor Playground with Ski Slopes and Historic Towns
When Denver locals want to escape the city, many of them head to Summit County in the heart of the Rocky Mountains. Named for its many peaks, the region is only about an hour outside the Denver metro area and consists of several ski areas and eclectic towns. Frisco is the closest village to Copper Mountain, located about 7 miles away, and is a good place to visit to learn about the area’s mining heritage: the downtown Historic Park and Museum includes old prospector cabins and a 19th-century schoolhouse. Farther out, the town of Breckenridge has an even greater architectural legacy—it has the state’s largest historic district, with pubs and boutiques housed in Victorian buildings from the 1880s and 1890s.
