Vegas-Style Hotel With Nightclub and Seven Restaurants
Gluttony, Pride, and Lust are just three of the Seven Deadly Sins drinks to choose from at Seven The Nightclub, Valley Forge Casino Resort's onsite Vegas-style dance hall that is open on Saturdays. Each drink's flavor represents its eponymous vice, while the hotel's casino, spa, and exotic cuisine also evoke Sin City. But unlike Vegas, there's no blazing desert outside. Instead, there are 3,600 lush acres of greenery, and 28 miles of trails filled with hikers, bikers, and horseback riders.
Inside the hotel, 600 slot machines and 50 tables of blackjack, craps, and pai gow poker fill the casino. Seven onsite restaurants cater to different cravings: there's casual sushi at Asianoodle, and Pacific Prime's upscale atmosphere complements dishes such as Maine lobster and Loch Duart Scottish salmon.
Visitor Suggestions: Valley Forge, Pennsylvania
Seth H. is the senior area sales manager for Groupon Getaways. He likes golf and everything below the Mason-Dixon Line. Below, he shares his thoughts on cheesesteaks and Valley Forge.
What tourist attraction or activity is overrated, and what should you do instead? There's a really cool place on the outskirts of Philadelphia, about 30 minutes from Valley Forge, called Chestnut Hill. It has a cobblestone Main Street with great little shops and restaurants.
What makes Valley Forge one of your favorite getaways? There is a really cool wildlife sanctuary in Audubon that I highly suggest checking out—the John James Audubon Center at Mill Grove. I'd also take a walk on the Audubon Loop Trail.
What’s the best place to go for a 2 a.m. snack, and how do you know this? Making the short trip down to Philly for a cheesesteak at Pat's is well worth the trip at any time of day—they’re open 24 hours. Make sure to get it with cheese whiz.
