Ideas for Your Vacation

Begin your adventure in Berlin, where there are many Christmas markets to choose from, including Breitscheidplatz, Gendarmenmarkt and Spandau. You can enjoy a delicious Glühwein (German mulled wine) and a currywurst to keep you warm while you browse for gifts and souvenirs. Just don’t forget the other attractions, such as the Brandenburg Gate, TV Tower and Reichstag Building. Prague’s most famous Christmas market is in the Old Town Square. The sparkling lights and beautiful carol singing set the scene for a heartwarming and special few days. Other must-sees in the city include Prague Castle, the Charles Bridge and Wenceslas Square. Budapest’s most popular Christmas market is at Vörösmarty Square, but others throughout the city are well worth visiting, including nearby Fashion Street. The hand-crafted gifts are gorgeous, and local dishes such as goulash and strudels are delicious.
