Itinerary

  • Day 1: Depart the US for London. Fly overnight from the US to London, the British capital, home to the queens and kings of England for centuries. Experience the incredible blend of history, pageantry, and artistry amid a collection of world-class museums standing on streets that have been walked on since the time of ancient Rome.
  • Day 2: Day of Leisure in London. Take a Tube ride, or equally iconic red double-decker bus, from your hotel to Saint Paul’s Cathedral. London’s tallest building until the latter half of the twentieth century, it is also a poignant symbol of the city’s Blitz years during World War Two, when it stood standing while all around it was turned to rubble. Then cross the River Thames on the Millennium Bridge to explore the art within the Tate Modern, or take in a play at Shakespeare’s Globe. After lunch at a nearby riverside traditional pub, spend the afternoon in the thousand-year-old Tower of London, keeper of the crown jewels used in the coronation of King Charles III and on other major state occasions. Round off a fantastic day with a show in London’s West End Theatreland.
  • Day 3: Experience the Wonders of a British Pullman Luxury Train A range of different experiences on board arguably the most luxurious train in Britain awaits depending on your exact travel dates. Departing from centrally-located Victoria Station, these trains are operated by Belmond, the high-end hotel chain. Stepping onto an originally renovated train car from the golden age of rail travel, you’ll get to witness a murder, delight in a champagne afternoon tea, enjoy an authentic British Sunday lunch roast, or visit a richly historic town such as York, Bath, Winchester, or Oxford. Whichever you get to experience, your trip will include a champagne reception, a multi-course meal onboard cooked freshly to order by the train’s incredible catering team, and sightseeing both on and off the train.
  • Day 4: Day at Leisure in London. Capture the famous Houses of Parliament from the unique vantage point of the London Eye before following in the footsteps of some of Britain’s most famous men and women to Buckingham Palace for the Changing of the Guard ceremony. Head to the independent stores and cafes of upmarket Marylebone for a bite to eat before meeting the great and the not-so-good at Madame Tussauds Waxworks (close to the home of fictional detective Sherlock Holmes at 221B Baker Street). Round off your time in the British capital with a stroll through Hyde Park and the adjoining Kensington Gardens, where treasures include the remains of a Roman villa, artworks by leading figures including sculptor Henry Moore, and the Diana Princess of Wales Memorial Fountain.
  • Day 5: Fly back to the US. Depart London on a flight back to the US, remembering to pack all your souvenirs.
