During the day at Gaetano's Tavern on Main, families gather together over a warm meal, ordering up sandwiches, salads, and chicken gorgonzola. At night, the tavern entertains a slightly younger crowd, who sip cocktails at the bar or catch up with friends over a cold brew. This is very much in the spirit of Gaetano's, which pulls together a little bit of this and a little bit of that into one homey feel. The co-owners—who are both granddaughters of the original Gaetano himself—wanted to preserve the restaurant's cozy Italian roots, but while adding some modern American twists. The result was Gaetano's Tavern on Main, where guests could find a menu that lists linguine and fresh clams next to burgers and fries.
