Nature is full of many wonders, just as philosophy is full of many questions and academia is full of many air quotes. Explore Mother Nature's back catalog with today's Groupon: for $79, you get a motor-coach tour of the Grand Canyon’s south rim from GC Flight leaving from Las Vegas (a $158 value). A $5 fuel charge is not included with this Groupon.
GC Flight parades tourists over bridges, across the Colorado River, and by wildlife habitats while meandering through the sprawling natural and man-made environs of the Grand Canyon National Park and Hoover Dam. After being picked up from one of the many major hotels on the strip, sightseers are ushered into air-conditioned, class-A motor coach. A knowledgeable guide narrates the tales of the Black Canyon, from the pioneer Indian wars and the trials of the mountain men to the plight of the desert umbrella salesman. Soar 900 feet above the Colorado River while gazing at the Hoover Dam on the Mike O'Callaghan-Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge, the longest arched-concrete bridge in the western hemisphere. After skimming through the habitat of big horn sheep, motor-coaches make their way to the south rim of the Grand Canyon.
Upon arrival, customers will be served lunch before being freed for 3–4 hours of exploration. Marvel at the scenery, gape at rock formations, and dream of one day turning the canyon into a giant Jello mold. The 14-hour tour includes several stops, allowing travelers to stretch and stare from Mather and Yavapai points and peruse exhibits at the Hopi House Museum.
