That, of course, is easier said than done. As seconds tick off the timer, your team must thrive under pressure as it uncovers clues, cracks codes, and solves puzzles in order to complete the mission at hand. Immersive themes make the experience all the more realistic—here are a couple of the escape rooms available at Get a Clue:

• Crime Scene: While investigating a mafia drug case, a DEA agent is mysteriously killed. Prior to his untimely demise, though, he informed you about a lead he'd been following. Now, it's up to you and your team to avenge his death, find the assailant, and collect the evidence before it's too late.

• Mardi Gras: It's carnival season in downtown Mobile, and you and your friends are out looking for a party. You discover an intriguing back door and, foolishly perhaps, you stumble inside, letting the door lock behind you. To escape, you need to unearth the jester's hints and find safety before the next group of victims parades through.
