Veggie Tales 10-DVD Set

Veggie Tales raids the produce aisle for its cast of beloved characters, who perform leafy new twists on biblical stories and wholesome tales. The show is beloved by kids for its goofy characters and wacky musical numbers, but adults will find themselves laughing just as often at the show’s pop-culture send-ups and clever wit and wordplay.

For instance, in Sumo of the Opera, Larry the Cucumber stars as pro wrestler “The Italian Scallion” who must take on heavyweight contender Apollo Gourd in a lesson on perseverance. And in Lord of the Beans, a Tolkien-inspired tale, the Flobbit Toto goes on an epic journey with the help of friends including wise old Randalf and an elf named Leg-O-Lamb. The set also includes some of the show’s earliest episodes, including Madame Blueberry, a spoof on Madame Bovary with a much happier ending than the classic. At the end of each episode, kids will have learned an important lesson about life and character—and gotten a few silly songs stuck in their heads.
