I bought a $10 rotary tool at harbor freight along with some diamond cutting discs to cut apart some small geodes. It was a waste of money and I went back to the hammer and chisel method. That was until I saw this tool. I kept it in my shopping list for a while unsure after my first horrible experience. When this tool arrived I was immediately impressed by the size and feel of the tool. Along with this tool I also purchased some more diamond discs. I got through a geodes on my first attempt with only using one disc. It never overheated like the $10 crap one I bought. It was much easier to install the cutting tool. Plus there are 6 speeds that makes it much more versatile tool. I would highly recommend this for someone looking for a Dremel type of tool without dishing out the big bucks.
This product really exceeded my expectations. I needed this for a very specific automotive DIY project, so I didn't want to invest in a more-expensive Dremel tool. I had low expectations for this product, given its incredibly low cost. I was surprised when it arrived that it appeared to be a pretty high quality piece of kit. As a newbie to Dremel-type tools, the instruction manual was surprisingly well-written and easy to understand. There were some areas in the manual where a part would be referred by one name on one page, and by another name on the next page - this should be improved for new users like me. However, it was written in good English and was logical to use. Overall very happy with this item.
This is a great product, I love how many attachments it comes with and the versatility of it. I originally purchased it for my resin art to sand off dried resin but I have used it for that and so much more. My only issue is that I have smaller hands and it is a bit awkward to hold and control it but I would definitely buy again-you get used to the size. Very pleased with this!
