The Wiz Live! on DVD

The Cast

The lead role of Dorothy is played by newcomer, Shanice Williams, who got her first big break after being selected from hundreds of applicants in an open casting call for the musical.

Production

The theatrical acrobatic group Cirque du Soleil teamed up with the cast to give gravity-defying performances during the show. Watch them flip, fly, and cartwheel through the air during songs like “Tornado,” “You Can’t Win,” and “Funky Monkeys.”
