What You’ll Do
To create your own perfume all you have to do is open your nose and follow your instincts. Of course, having a wide range of essential oils and fragrances on hand certainly doesn’t hurt. During her three-hour class, Annie Jenkins makes all her supplies available to students as they craft their own custom men’s or women’s fragrance, starting with a consultation and ending with a bottle to bring home.
-
Perfume Consultation
Annie explains how perfumes are constructed, then starts students on their way through the process. -
Create a Signature Scent
Pick as many essential oils, fragrance oils, and aroma blends as you want to include in your perfume. -
Name, Label, and Wear
After mixing your perfume, name it and design a fitting label before taking it home with you. Opal’z will save the formula, so you can come back and re-create additional bottles later.

Annie Jenkins
Owner, Opal’z
With more than three decades of experience as a television makeup artist, Annie Jenkins has seen a lot of skin up close. What she learned from all those complexions is that not all skincare products are created equally, and that natural options are far better for the skin. Soon she began making her own soaps with her daughter and the kids in her neighborhood, fell in love with the process (and the benefits), and opened a store where anyone could come to learn the art of making soaps, perfume, and candles.
