The Scouting Report
After heading into the All-Star break on a three-game winning streak, the Arizona Diamondbacks seek to keep up the momentum with a series of wins against the struggling Astros. Right fielder Justin Upton continues to bolster the D-backs offense this season, leading the team with 54 runs through 79 games. Rookie pitcher Wade Miley’s 3.04 ERA and 9–5 record earned him a spot on the NL’s 2012 All-Star roster, mostly to hurl toilet paper into the American League dugout.
Fans can stick around after Friday evening’s 80’s–themed game for a fireworks show in the skies over Chase Field, and on Saturday, the first 20,000 fans receive a free D-backs cap, both courtesy of courtesy of Gila River Casinos, and National Youth Sports gives kids a chance to run the bases after Sunday’s game.
