The annual Calaveras County Fair & Jumping Frog Jubilee’s nonstop schedule of events, activities, and entertainment delights attendees of all ages. Read on for more info:

• The Frog Jump and other competitions: The fest’s namesake contest draws competitors old and young from all over, each hoping their frog jumps the furthest. Meanwhile, other competitions test attendees’ singing, baking, and wine-making skills.

• Entertainment, food, and drinks: From country music acts to acrobatic shows to the event’s professional rodeo, guests find family-friendly entertainment at every corner of the fairgrounds. Plus, attendees can catch a thrill at one of many carnival rides or busy themselves sampling a slew of classic fair eats and drinks, like funnel cakes and corn-dogs.

• The animals and the vendors: Kids can get up close with goats and other small animals at the petting zoo or go on pony rides while others check out the fair’s showcase of other animals, like llamas, cows, and horses. Meanwhile, attendees peruse the fair’s marketplace of crafters and other vendors, toting home souvenirs like hand-crafted leather goods.
